⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a wonderful experience on the Pena Palace and Quinta da Regaleira tour. The whole day was well organized, and our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the trip. Pena Palace was absolutely beautiful, and Quinta da Regaleira was also a highlight, especially the gardens and the famous Initiation Well. The transportation was comfortable and made it much easier to visit everything in one day. There was quite a lot of walking and some steep areas, but it was definitely worth it. Overall, it was a great way to explore Sintra, and I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Lisbon.

Fantastic 5.0
Our guides, Ricardo and Maria, were very talkative and knowledgeable. I was in Maria's group, and she was able to bring some of Portugal's literary spirit into the tour, allowing us to not only visit places but also engage in a deeper dialogue with the inner meaning and the scenery before us. Thank you for their arrangements. The last stop was Cabo da Roca, which would take a long time to reach by public transport. I highly recommend walking a bit faster and joining a day tour instead.

Fantastic 5.0
Our guide and driver, Antonio, was incredibly knowledgeable and professional. He shared a lot of information with us throughout the trip and encouraged interaction among the group. Even though it was an international shared tour, he created a very friendly atmosphere. The itinerary was packed, but thanks to his recommendations, we efficiently booked a restaurant and enjoyed a delicious and fresh grilled fish feast!

What to know before visiting Lisbon

Discover Lisbon’s highlights and visitor rhythm

Lisbon is a city where attraction passes, guided tours and historical sites dominate visitor activity, with food, shows and wildlife experiences also popular. Demand peaks in June and falls to a low in February, giving the year a clear high-season splash around early summer. The busiest months bring a lively, festival-like atmosphere while quieter months suit slower sightseeing and fewer crowds.

Best times to visit for crowds and prices

According to Klook booking data, June is the peak month for demand while February is the trough. Prices trend independently at times: booking data shows the typically priciest month is May and the typically cheapest month is November, so crowds and prices don’t always move in lockstep. If you want smaller crowds and lower typical prices, aim for November or the late-winter trough months; if you want peak-season energy and the fullest programme of tours and events, June is best.

Tips for travellers from Australia

Australian travellers typically book around a month in advance, with many purchases made earlier and some last-minute bookings possible a couple of days out. For travel in June’s peak period, plan and secure popular tours and attraction passes earlier; for quieter months you can be more spontaneous and still find good options. Use Klook to compare passes and tours so you can match your itinerary to the season and crowd levels.
