Fantastic 5.0
Finn McCools tour was great with Mark as the guide and Declan as our driver who navigated some narrow countryside roads today. Mark was informative and told us about Dublin as a city on our way out for the day tour to Kilkenny. We were told about the history of various places, people of interest were mentioned and other cultural interests was mentioned too. The highlight was seeing the Kilkenny castle and the sheepherding where we met Meg and Sal the border collies who were amazing. it was run efficiently and on time. Highly recommended. We were a family of four with an Australian-Hong Kong background with two teenagers and we all enjoyed it.

Fantastic 5.0
The success of tours like this are heavily dependent on the tour guide. Lisa was an exceptional tour guide. She pointed out different landmarks and attractions on our way to the Cliffs of Moher, Burren, and Galway. She answered questions we had about Ireland through storytelling, and on the bus she played music by various Irish artists as she taught us more about Irish history and culture. My trip was on the second Sunday of October. It was very chilly and windy at the Cliffs. There was rain here and there but it wasn’t heavy.

Wonderful trip! Cliff of Moher is spectacular. The Burren seaside is amazing. And Galway is so prosperous and charming. Most important aspect is a safe journey.

Fantastic 5.0
Really enjoyed our day trip to Kilkenny, Wicklow and Glendalough. Oli was a friendly guide and shared quite a lot of interesting history and little stories along the way. Fred was our driver for the day, and the journey was comfortable and felt safe throughout. We liked that the tour had a good mix of different sights — we visited castle and cathedral at Kilkenny, went through the Wicklow mountains, and saw the ruins and lake at Glendalough. We also got to see sheepdogs working in action, which was pretty cool to see! It rained for most of the day, but thankfully visibility was still relatively good which didn’t affect much of the experience . Overall, it was a really nice way to see a bit more of Ireland and learn about its history and culture, especially for someone visiting Ireland for the first time.

Fantastic 5.0
it was amazing experience. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Hop-On Hop-Off Experience in Dublin! We had a wonderful experience with the Big Bus Dublin 24-hour tour. We booked our tickets through Klook, and the entire booking process was smooth, simple, and hassle-free. The buses were clean, comfortable, and operated on time, making it very easy to explore the city at our own pace. The route covered all the major attractions, and the audio commentary was informative, engaging, and full of interesting facts about Dublin's history and culture. The staff were friendly, courteous, and always ready to help. This tour is an excellent way for first-time visitors to see the best of Dublin without any hassle. It offers great value for money, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ireland. Thank you, Big Bus Dublin and Klook, for making our visit so enjoyable and memorable!

Great 4.0
The guide's (name Porrick? couldn't catch it as people kept talking at back of bus despite him asking them not to) dry humour unfortunately flew past the heads of most but I appreciated it, the stories & history he provided were comprehensive. It is a big bus & many hours on the road but the guide tried his best to fill in the time even playing his own instrument. Driver Billy made the ride smooth. Most train tickets are sold out for bank holiday weekend so this trip saved the hassle and costs about the same. Sadly visited the cliffs too late as the section that I wanted to walk is closed after 2024.

This trip to the Giant's Causeway just wouldn't be the same without Jonathan - his commentary and history were so easy to connect with, and we'll recommend him to anyone planning a visit!

What to know before visiting County Dublin

What to expect in County Dublin

The things-to-do catalogue here is led by Museums, then Tours, Historical sites, Attraction passes and Cultural experiences, so you can mix brief, budget-friendly visits with higher-value passes for multiple attractions. Museums and Tours dominate bookings, which makes County Dublin easy to use whether you want standalone tickets or a pass that bundles several sights. Demand peaks in November and is quietest in September, so getting into the same experiences is generally easier in September and busiest around November. Overall the spread means you’ll find very affordable single-site options alongside pricier passes for broader access.

How to choose what to book

A key choice is whether you want single-entry tickets or a bundled pass — decide if breadth or simplicity matters most. If you want the widest range when shopping, Attraction passes offer the broadest pricing stretch, typically around AUD 163 for a usual booking with options from AUD 130 to AUD 181, so they suit travellers who value access to multiple sites. Museums provide consistent, single-price entries, typically around AUD 49, and Historical sites are the most affordable way in, typically around AUD 18, which is handy for filling gaps in an itinerary. Tours sit between those: they offer a modest range and typically cost around AUD 49, while Cultural experiences are fewer but can add local flavour at typical prices near AUD 48.

When travellers from Australia book

Most travellers book about 8 days ahead, while the earliest planners book roughly 27 days out, so plan on arranging main activities about a week before travel or earlier if you prefer extra cushion. The peak in November is when that buffer matters most, because demand is highest then; last-minute bookings are still possible given a typical last-minute window of 2 days.

How prices compare

The table below shows how County Dublin’s top activity categories compare on price so you can place a budget before you choose.

Category Typical Price Usual Range
Museums AUD 49 AUD 49 – 49
Tours AUD 49 AUD 48 – 78
Historical sites AUD 18 AUD 18 – 19
Attraction passes AUD 163 AUD 130 – 181
Cultural experiences AUD 48 AUD 43 – 67

Typical price is the median paid on Klook; the usual range covers the middle half of bookings, so cheaper and pricier options exist outside it; prices are shown with their currency code. Based on Klook booking data, August 2025 – July 2026.
