Yunnan Day trips

Really positive experience! The entire tour was seamless and well-organised from start to finish. Our tour manager shared all the important information before and during the trip, including a detailed PDF, and coordinated with our driver/guide. She was also very responsive to all my questions. Warm outerwear, bottled water and oxygen tanks (personally didnt need this) were provided. Our guide, Mr 沈, was very thoughtful and explained everything clearly, including how to get around at each destination. He always made sure we were comfortable and replied promptly on WeChat too. The small group size was a bonus as we got comfortable with our fellow travellers quickly. We visited in early September and it wasn’t too crowded, as it wasn’t peak season. There was a slight drizzle, but the weather was nice and cool. Overall, a smooth and enjoyable trip!

the driver is very good. he very particular about the time. because in the morning, we need to take turn for the toilet 😂. Then he seems fierce but he actually concern on our time to spend for the whole trip. At the blue moon valley, we need to purchase the ticket there, he guided us to the counter explained to us on how the route and check point for electric car because he was not joining us. Then again, he remind us about the time because we need to go to cable car for Yulong Mountain by 11am. We actually got so caught up with the beautiful scenery and almost past our time. There are too many beautiful spot that for photographs but we have time constraints. Fortunately, our driver checked on us and guide us via WeChat where to go and we arrive at cable car by 11.30am. There, he guided us to the check in gate. During our time at Yulong mountain, the mist is thick and it is so cloudy that we cannot see the mountain peak. And lesson learnt here, please make sure you eat before going up.

Had a really smooth and well-coordinated trip 👏 Highly Recommended! From the start, 小舟 managed everything efficiently—clear itinerary details and even arranged hotel pickup for a small additional fee (60元), which made things more convenient. The day before the trip, the driver/guide 携手 followed up with very clear instructions. Pickup was punctual at 5:35am. We were especially impressed that the team secured early tickets to ascend Yulong Snow Mountain by 7:30am (up to 4,506m). We descended by 8:30am—the higher climb to 4,680m was closed due to heavy snow the day before, making conditions slippery and unsafe. Next stop was Blue Moon Valley—transfer was seamless, we arrived around 9:20am, spending about an hour. After that, lunch was provided (simple pork hotpot with rice and vegetables). It was decent, though there’s definitely room for improvement. We then headed to the Impression Lijiang at 1:30pm, which wrapped up the experience nicely before returning to the hotel around 3:30pm.

The whole day was a delight with the assigned driver. We went during 火把节. Everywhere is crowded with vehicles. Despite that, the driver and us managed to br flexible and complete the day tour happily!

Very good tour. The Tibetan driver is a friendly guy. He gave us a lot of useful information along the tour. Highly recommended

recommended tour. the basic meal pack consists of a bun, banana and fruit and pepsi. we stopped by 3 photo spots on the way. at zhanglaoshi rest stop, we changed to a smaller car and drove to the halfway house area. then we started the 6.8km hike (3.2km up and 3.6km downhill). the driver is also the tour guide, my tour guide was very professional and helpful. i was inexperienced in hiking mountain paths and needed extra assistance and he was there to assist me on the downhill section. important to note that for people with no hiking experience, the downhill path is rather scary as there are no barriers and the path is filled with rocks. this middle gorge route also does not include the upper gorge, so you won't be able to get the "iconic" tiger gorge photo. pick this route only if you are interested in the experience of hiking haba mountain. the hike takes around 2-3h depending on your speed and experience.

Everything was well organized and on time. We visited Dianchi Lake first, then had lunch, and ended the day at the Stone Forest. I joined this tour with my elderly mother, who uses a cane and had always wanted to visit the Stone Forest. We only had one full day in Kunming, so this tour was perfect for us. Our guide Luosang was kind, patient, and waited for us while my mom walked slowly, especially in the rain. Even though we don't speak Chinese, everything went smoothly. Thank you for helping fulfill my mom's wish. We had a wonderful and memorable day!

Our guide Ahyan was 11/10 as she shared with us everything we needed to know about Yunnan from tea, silver, nature, food, way of life, economy, property, marriage, history and ethnic groups within a short span of time. She is funny but firm in managing the time and group. Offered to take photos at major spots. Even though it rained heavily in the afternoon at Jiuxiang scenic area, she problem solved and ensured that everyone had a good time and was safe. Exceeded expectations and had a memorable day.

Master Shen is reliable and meticulous. He arranged for complete equipment and constantly reminded us of important details. Blue Moon Valley is beautiful and great for photos. Although there were some altitude sickness symptoms when ascending Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, fortunately, Master Shen had us bring an extra oxygen tank, so we still managed to climb to 4,591 meters. Highly recommended!
