Going to South Korea with kids? Well, this article is for you!
But wait, for those adults with playful hearts, this is also for you! If you are all about the thrill of rides, the delightful scent of treats, and the joyful sounds of excitement, heading to a theme park is a no-brainer.
And when you find yourself in South Korea, you're in for a treat because there's not just one but multiple heart-pounding adventures waiting for the little ones and those young at heart.
Now, your only dilemma is choosing which park to go for - well, its the only problem that is fun for adults. If the kiddos had their way, they'd probably want to check out both Lotte World and Everland, but let's be real, the time and budget should be your ultimate consideration.
But, let us help you in deciding the perfect plan for you and your loved ones. Let's take a closer look and compare these two awesome theme parks.

    1. Everland vs Lotte World - What do both theme parks offer?

This awesome theme park consists of an impressive lineup of over 40 rides and attractions, covering all the classic favorites. It's like a one-stop park for the best of the best, creating a carnival experience that's packed with excitement!
But what sets Lotte World apart from the Everland is its unique feature – it offers rides both indoors and outdoors. First up is the indoor park known as "Lotte World Adventure," where you'll find a number of rides to satisfy your adventurous spirit.
From a Jurassic Era flume ride to a balloon ride providing a breathtaking bird's-eye view of the entire park, a roller coaster, a giant loop ride, a scenic monorail, an ice rink, and a boat ride that transports you into a jungle adventure.

As for the outdoor paradise, there's the "Lotte World Magic Island," offering a different set of thrills. You can venture into a haunted house for spooky joy, hop on bumper cars for a playful collision, ride a space-themed roller coaster outdoor, swing around on a gyro swing, and even enjoy a leisurely cruise on the serene Seokchon Lake.
Now, let's talk about the thrill factor - the Gyro Drop and Gyro Swing. Experience the adrenaline rush of these two free fall rides and take the excitement to new heights, literally reaching up to a whopping 70 meters. Bruh, that is what we call as fun!
Now, why is that a game-changer? Well, for starters, when the summer sun is blazing, or the winter cold is intense, you've got the luxury of air conditioning indoors. No need to worry about the weather extremes affecting your adventure!

Get ready for an adrenaline-pumping experience that will leave you thrilled and entertained, whether you're braving the elements outdoors or enjoying the comfort of the indoor rides!

    Everland

Welcome to the largest theme park in Korea! Okay let's not beat around the bush – it's huge, and we're not holding back on the excitement. Picture this - the theme park is divided into five themed zones, each offering a generous dose of adventure - Global Fair, American Adventure, Magic Land, European Adventure, and Zootopia.
Now, let's talk about the fun stuff. Everland has a bunch of thrilling rides that you can hop on. If we're talking about adrenaline, hold on to your hats because this is home to the world's steepest ride - the T-Express at Everland.
And just imagine - it's not just any roller coaster – it's one of the fastest in the world, going at 104 km/h! It also has the highest drop at 46 metres, the steepest drop at 77 degrees, and long, stretching for 1.64 kilometres! Even the most fearless heart will find themselves faced with a challenge.

But fear not, because there's still plenty of excitement for the little ones, the delightful animal safari known as Zootopia. The animal wonderland spreads across 15,000 square metres, housing 2,000 animals of 201 different kinds!
So, whether you're seeking heart-pounding attractions or family-friendly adventure, this theme park has it all, making your trip super exciting!

    2. What about the location?

    Lotte World

You can conveniently reach here by public transportation - it is located near Jamsil Station. It’s a hassle-free journey, and if you buy a Klook T-Money pass before you make the trip, you can top-up your pass and then hop on the train: simple.

    Everland

This park is further afield. And that’s not a bad thing because you know what they say – getting there is half the fun! It takes a little more than an hour to get here from the centre of the city. But (here’s the good news), Klook’s got a convenient roundtrip full-day private shuttle bus transfer from Seoul to Everland, so that’s your logistics sorted!

    3. Looking at the long lines

    Lotte World

There’s no such thing as a theme park without lines, so yes, there are lines here. And they’re longer on the weekend. Because Lotte World covers a smaller area, it tends to feel more crowded. But here’s a big tip – the Magic Pass is a downloadable app and acts as a fast pass to shorten your waiting time.
Or just get the ticket on Klook!

Again, there’ll be lines that are longer on the weekend. But again, there’s a way around it. Here, an Everland Q Pass is an on-site reservation system for rides, acting on a first-come, first-served basis. When you purchase your Everland Korea tickets via Klook, you also get to skip the long ticketing lines and enter directly with your Klook Voucher!

    4. What about the weather?

Fact: you can never really entirely preempt the weather. When you combine this reality with a visit here, it’s going to play a big part in your experience. If the weather turns bad, several rides will close – it’s a safety thing. This is where Lotte World has a little something up its sleeve; with indoor attractions, it’s less likely to be affected by bad and extreme weather shifts.

    Everland

Different park, same problem. If you find yourself stuck in the rain at Everland Seoul, you can still visit some of the attractions. A selection still runs during the rain, such as the Mystery Mansion and Castle of Oz. Alternatively, you can catch a film in the Victoria Theater.

    5. Entrance ticket price comparison

    Everland and Lotte World

When it comes to prices, these two amusement park adventures are pretty neck-and-neck. The entrance fees for Lotte World and Everland Theme Park vary by a slight margin – take a look at these estimated ticket prices:
