How to Transit Terminals at Singapore Changi Airport

Layovers can be tough, but if there’s one place to be when you have a long layover, that’s Singapore’s Changi Airport!

Not sure how to get around the terminals during your Singapore Airport transit? There are three ways to transfer between terminals: by Skytrain, by bus, or by foot!

You can travel between Terminals 1, 2, and 3 via the complimentary Skytrain service in the transit area. If you’re in the public area, you can go to and from Terminals 1 and 3 via the Skytrain. Take note that the Skytrain operates from 4:30am until 1:30am.

Going to Terminal 4 to visit the Heritage Zone and the Singapore Rojak? Catch the complimentary shuttle bus service in public and transit areas. Boarding and alighting points are at T1 Departure Central Kerbside, T2 Coach Bay outside the glass door, T3 Departure Door 8, T4 Arrival Door 1, and T4 Departure Door 4.

If you’d prefer to take your chill time exploring the terminals, you can do so on foot! Travelators are available if you wanna move between the transit areas of T1 and T3. Or, if you wanna go from the public areas of T2 and T3, you can use the Mezzanine Level link bridge!

Yes! Visiting the Canopy Park and the Walking Net is as easy as pie. Jewel Changi sits between T2 and T3 and is connected to the Arrival Hall of T1 at Level 1.

If you plan to stay within Singapore Airport’s transit areas, you won’t need to pass through immigration. But if you intend to enter Singapore during your layover, make sure to meet entry requirements to enjoy a quarantine-free entry to Singapore. To qualify as a Singapore Airport transit passenger, you must ensure that both your flights are booked in the same booking itinerary and that your check-in luggage is tagged through from the origin airport to their final destination.
