    Kids will love seeing their fave animal in person at the Auckland Zoo. Home to the most extensive wildlife diversity in New Zealand, it's a must-visit for any animal lover. You can befriend South African rhinos and meerkats and South American spider monkeys and capybaras in a single visit.

    The towering buildings that make up Auckland's skyline are best seen 220 metres above the ground, where you can get uninterrupted views of the city's waterways and monuments. The SkyTower also hosts special activities during the Auckland school holidays. Plus, kids under 6 go free!

    Twenty minutes away from the city, St. Heliers Beach is the ideal location for a laid-back, family day in Auckland. You can read a book at the golden sand beach while kids can go for a swim in the crystal blue waters.
