It's quite fun. You can learn about the past history, old houses and old stages. The ticket prices are very reasonable and you don't have to wait. It's very convenient.

Guide
- The Huguang Guild Hall is the largest and best-preserved ancient guild hall complex in China.
- The Chongqing Huguang Guild Hall not only preserves the material culture of guild hall architecture but also embodies the intangible culture of the immigrant spirit.
- Since its opening, the Chongqing Huguang Guild Hall has received over ten million visitors from home and abroad, becoming a calling card for the city of Chongqing and a monument to Chinese immigrant culture, enjoying a high reputation both domestically and internationally.
- The Huguang Guild Hall was first built in the 24th year of Emperor Qianlong's reign in the Qing Dynasty (1759). It was a gathering place for merchants from Hubei and Hunan doing business in Chongqing. Together with the Guangdong Guild Hall and the Jiangnan Guild Hall, it formed a massive ancient Huguang Guild Hall complex from the Qing Dynasty, serving as historical evidence of Chongqing as a prosperous commercial port and a symbol of the Huguang Filling Sichuan immigration movement.
- The guild hall covers an area of 8,561 square meters. The Chongqing Huguang Guild Hall complex is a historical product of the "Huguang Filling Sichuan" immigration wave, initially built during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty and successively expanded during the Jiaqing, Daoguang, and Guangxu periods. With a history of nearly 300 years, it is currently the largest Qing Dynasty guild hall complex in the country.
- It currently includes the Guangdong Guild Hall, Jiangnan Guild Hall, Lianghu Guild Hall, Jiangxi Guild Hall, and four opera stages, including the Guangdong Gongsuo and Qi'an Gongsuo. The architectural reliefs and carvings of the guild hall are extremely exquisite, with themes mainly featuring patterns of characters from Journey to the West, Romance of the Western Chamber, Investiture of the Gods, and The Twenty-Four Filial Exemplars, as well as dragons, phoenixes, animals, and various exotic flowers and plants. These patterns represent the architectural art of southern China during the Ming and Qing dynasties.
