1. Although the price was a bit expensive (three people rented a car for more than 7,000 yuan), I was really happy to see the whale shark. 2. The driver to Lila was Raqiel. He was very nice and punctual. He helped to look after my things, buy tickets and do all sorts of things. He took care of me in every possible way. But in the end I still chose to send my things at the counter. It was very convenient. There was a CCTV at the place where I sent my things. I just had to give the key to the driver. 3. GOPRO rental costs money. The diving instructor will help take a lot of photos. It's really 100 points. Excluding the price, it's a really good experience. Although the local whale shark watching is cheaper, I feel that the quality in the wild should be similar. I'm not sure if the shuttle is so expensive, but it's always the first time to spend money as an experience.
it has been great and amazing exprience!! guide took for us wonderful pictures. We felt very nice mood at there thank you
Thanks to the easy driving, my child didn't get seasick and went. Whale shark was a really great experience, but there were a lot of people so my child got pushed out a lot, but I was thankful that the boat guide took good care of him. It seems like there are dedicated guides for Balicasag and whale shark areas. The visibility was not good so we couldn't see deep, and they scattered shrimp so we floated all over, but it was a good experience. The whale sharks were swimming around, so if you wait there, they will come. We saw 7 of them and my child said he wants to go again.
Sir Glen was very friendly and helpful! He was always by us to make sure we get to the boat as soon as possible. He answered all our questions and made sure we are always comfortable! At the site, we got to see multiple whale sharks upclose! Such a surreal experience! Thank you so much Sir Glen. We highly recommend this tour!
The service attitude at the docking window before the trip was very good! The driver who came to pick up and drop off on the day was also very complimentary! We arrived on time and I could communicate with me patiently in broken English because my friend who was traveling with me suddenly had her menstrual period. The driver helped us buy menstrual products. He had good driving skills and sent us safely to the whale shark trip. He accompanied us throughout the entire activity without overcharging us. The tour guide of the group next door was overcharged by 1500P per person because the tour ended earlier than I expected. We asked him to sell us the itinerary and he didn’t charge us more. We only had to pay for the entrance fee ourselves. He drove us to the Boa Constrictor Butterfly Garden and we paid for it ourselves. The entry fee is 100P, the cash flow is very transparent, and the recommended itinerary is great! Later, they took us to have lunch on the lake without charging more. We just paid for the meal ourselves and were accompanied the whole time! We told him that we didn't even get any fresh fruit and he took us to a local market that was clean and local and didn't charge us more. Finally, I asked him to drive us there while we went to exchange money and go to the SPA. It is also a mission that must be achieved! ! The air conditioner is turned on every time I get in the car, which is super comfortable and considerate. In the end, we were so grateful that we tipped him! It's really great. The chartered driver is also great at the whale shark part. You can take super clear pictures with a waterproof bag on your phone.
It's a very worthwhile trip. It only takes 40 minutes to drive from Alona beach to the place where you can see whale sharks. The driver will pick you up at the hotel. You don't have to leave four hours early like the main island of Cebu. If you take a Go Pro into the water to take pictures, the store will charge you 200 pesos for photography, but you can give the camera to the boatman and he will take pictures for you. It was really shocking and touching to see such a big and gentle creature passing under the belly.
The Whale Shark Interaction tour was an unforgettable adventure for me and my 10-year-old daughter. From the moment our knowledgeable driver picked us up at the hotel to the end of our day, the experience was nothing short of amazing. Our driver shared fascinating insights about the area and the whale sharks, including his personal journey from hunting these majestic creatures to promoting tourism to protect them. His passion for conservation added a meaningful layer to our trip. If you're planning to go, I highly recommend renting a GoPro to capture the magic. Although we had an issue with water leaking into our GoPro on the first round, which resulted in some blurry photos and videos, the tour manager went above and beyond. After showing them the issue, they gave us the latest GoPro model and allowed us to go out again at no extra charge. That level of service speaks volumes about their commitment to making sure guests have an amazing experience. Our dive guide, Renald, was fantastic, taking incredible photos and videos of us both in and out of the water. His enthusiasm and expertise made us feel at ease. The entire island community seems deeply committed to providing the best experience, showcasing genuine hospitality and a sincere desire to make you feel welcome. Not once did anyone ask for tips, but their dedication made us more than happy to give them. It was heartwarming when some workers even tried to return the tips, as though they didn’t feel deserving. One thing to note: while there’s a five-meter distance rule for the whale sharks, these gentle giants often bump into you, making the encounter even more surreal. This tour is an absolute must-do. The priceless memories and once-in-a-lifetime moments we shared are something we’ll cherish forever.
Truly amazing overall! The guide was on time and provided relevant info and was very accommodating. We got to see 3 big whales and they were amazing creatures. Just a heads up - if you're bringing a GoPro camera, prepare to pay 200 pesos additional fee.
Really great experience however it felt very chaotic. There are many people snorkelling in a small area of the sea to see the sharks. People are screaming and swimming on top of one another and and even swimming right beside the shark! There is a constant flow of people arriving from other boats - my partner nearly got hit by a boat while swimming. It is, in my opinion, way overpriced. We got picked up at 7am and were back at our hotels before 9am. However, the guides in the boat are amazing at ensuring even those that are nervous get an opportunity to see the sharks.
You will be picked up directly from the hotel, and a local tour guide will take you. When you get to the scenic spot, there will be other boatmen in the water. You can ask the boatman to take pictures for you, but when there are many people, when you go into the water, there will be people everywhere taking pictures. , it’s not as easy to take as expected, and you have to be careful about being kicked by the person swimming next to you. Then I will still be charged 200 pesos for bringing my own action camera. He said that I can take the photos myself or ask the boatman to help me, but I must remember to ask the boatman for help. Otherwise, they may not take the initiative to help you.
