What to expect
The Longmen Nankun Mountain Yunding Hot Spring Whiskey Hotel is located next to the Hot Spring Building of Yunding Hot Spring Resort. It consists of two 28-story main buildings, namely the Bourbon Building and the Sherry Building, named after the oak barrels used for aging Daqin whiskey. A major feature of the hotel is that all guest room balconies have hot spring pools, allowing guests to enjoy the silicic acid and fluorine-rich hot spring water of Yunding without leaving their rooms. At the same time, the hotel is equipped with a whiskey-themed restaurant that can accommodate 800 people and a 1600-square-meter pillar-less banquet center. The hotel shares the hot spring area with the Hot Spring Building. The hot spring area has 118 characteristic hot spring pools (including a constant temperature swimming pool, dry and wet saunas, and children's water play facilities), with plans to expand more hot spring pools and children's water play facilities in the future.

We stayed at the Whiskey Hotel for two nights. The private hot spring pool was very good, the public hot spring pool was relatively inferior, but swimming in the outdoor pool was very satisfying. If the price is right next time, we will come again.
The Whiskey Hotel had a very lavish dinner, and there were also musical performances with singing for entertainment. The staff was very welcoming, making it worth visiting. If the price is right, that is.

The hotel room facilities are a bit outdated, but the outdoor hot spring is nice and large. There's a wide variety of breakfast options. Rooms facing the mountain are quieter. You need to go to the front desk to get things for the outside.
This is my second time here. It is a very cost-effective hot spring hotel with beautiful environment and very considerate staff. I believe I will continue to come here in the future.
This hotel really targets families with cars and children; others might be disappointed. Transportation is very inconvenient, so it's not recommended for those without a car. During off-peak season, calling a taxi requires paying an extra return fare, otherwise no taxi will accept the order (you must pay the highway toll yourself, but the initial taxi fare doesn't include it, which is easily overlooked when calculating). The indoor hot spring is on the other side of the hotel and requires a bit of a walk to get to. The other facilities are more suitable for children and not as elderly-friendly as one might expect.
The hotel's cleanliness is good, the food comes in a variety of colors, there is a singing performance at dinner, suitable for all ages, and there are multiple pools in the hot spring area with different temperatures to choose from.
