What to expect

Explore Banff National Park and the Canadian Rockies on a guided coach day trip from Calgary or Banff, available in January and February. Spend about two hours at Lake Louise Ski Resort, where you can enjoy snowy mountain views or add tubing, a sightseeing gondola ride, or skiing for an extra fee. Continue to Abraham Lake for a chance to photograph methane bubbles trapped beneath its frozen surface. The lake visit and bubble visibility depend on weather, road access and ice conditions and cannot be guaranteed. An optional 20-minute helicopter flight may also be available at extra cost. If the ski resort is closed, the resort stop is replaced by an Icefields Parkway drive with stops at Bow Lake and Peyto Lake.
