Reviews
The night view of sting rays is great. The location is Sunlight on Water in Kona. It comes with a snorkel mask and a life jacket. It depends on your ability. Although Hawaii is not very cold, it will still be cold after soaking in the water for an hour near dusk. It is best to wear long sleeves. After entering the water and getting on the boat, I wrapped myself in a bath towel and used a GoPro to photograph two sting rays very close to each other. They would be attracted by the light.
Warm welcome and amazing experience! Captin Jeff and Drew!
A must go activity!!! Crews were nice and fun! Luckily we saw many giant monsters (manta!)!!! Would bring camera or mobile phone to shoot them next time so that I can remember them vividly all my life! Ps very cold in early march!
About 15 to 20 people go out on a boat and go snorkeling with manta rays at night. If you are afraid of the dark sea, it may be a little difficult. Since the captain and three crew members cannot take care of all of them at the same time, you must use a float such as a straw to keep yourself afloat. Other than that, it can be said to be a very fun and mysterious tour. Children also like it very much.
It was a little difficult to locate the exact meet up point and we had to ask around for help. Other than that, the entire experience was AMAZING!! We got to see 7-8 rays right below us and they got super close to us! The crew were very helpful and attentive, they provide snacks, water and hot cocoa. Bring a towel with you because it can get cold. Suggestions: Would be good to provide some photos with instructions on how to get to the meet up point. And advice on what to bring to the boat. We forgot to bring towels and were shivering after the snorkeling.
It was so exciting to see the stingrays up close! ! At first, I couldn’t find a meeting point, but I called to ask about it. The staff said that they could directly Google Sunlight on Water. I was very satisfied with the event~~ The staff was very patient and friendly. They would check from time to time if everyone was in trouble. If not Swimming will also be brought to the kickboard one by one! The waves are very big that day and you will feel dizzy. If you are prone to seasickness, you can bring seasickness medicine. The return journey at the end of December is also very windy. It is recommended to bring a coat with you
I recommend you to try it at least once. The captain and crew were very friendly and it was a fun activity. Even the sense that only Koreans board and translate with Google Translate! It can be a little cold when you return, so a towel is essential.
The waves were very strong that day and it was freezing, so the waiting process was very hard. Fortunately, I finally got to see two big manta rays dancing in front of me at close range. Everything was worth the price.
Be sure to take seasickness medicine! But it’s a really great experience! The crew and captain of sunlight on water are great!
captain crew manta rays are wonderful tonight. we had a unforgettable kona mantaray and sea.
