This tour was more than we expected. Worth every penny!! Luna was such a fantastic tour guide. VIP treatment with the cable cars which gave fastrack through - it was worth it just for this. I loved exploring Tai O!
Really wonderful experience, Becky, our tour guide is so enthusiastic and patient, I do love her positive energy. Tai O Village is truly a must-see destination when you visit Hong Kong: beautiful scenes, tranquil sea village life and relaxing people.
We went on a Monday and the queue was long at the cable car. As we have booked a local tour at 12pm so the staff allowed us to use the priority line to get onto the cable car. Each cable car can take on max 8 pax. The ride was about 25 minutes. The local tour guide, Luna speaks good English I would say. Together with 2 other tourists from UK, the 5 of us took a private coach and started off to Tai O fishing village. Started off with a boat ride to see pink dolphins but we have no luck that day. After that, we went to one of the houses then F&E at the market. We tried the sugar doughnuts and mango mochi (recommended by the guide) and they were nice! The tour ended with a walk to see the big buddha and monetary.
The cable car was very fun and exciting! Miss Moon, the tour guide, was also very kind, considerate, and insightful! We were lucky that we saw a dragon boat competition in Tai O. I recommend availing a crystal cabin as the line for standard was quite long. I recommend this, if you also want to experience the provincial life of Hong Kong. But if you're more into the famous attractions, I guess just avail the cabin car and not this tour.
Highly recommended! First, taking the crystal cabin and a roundtrip ride gives you the express pass. When I went there the lines for the regular/standard cabin was so long versus the crystal cabin. The visit to the fishing village is worth it as well. A good way to know the villages history and a chance to do a food crawl!
It was my first time to participate in this local tour, and I thought it was great🌟 I went to Tai O Fishing Village, which I had never been to before, and took a boat out to sea to find Chinese white dolphins. Fortunately, we saw it! We also visited the shack, another kind of oriental Venice! There are still people living here! This trip not only took the Ngong Ping Cable Car, but also explored the life of early fishermen, and experienced two Hong Kongs in one trip. (The only problem is that there are too many people in the cable car! You have to wait 30-40 minutes to get on the train! It is recommended to leave early~
Definitely a memorable experience. The tour guide was really friendly and accommodating. Wished the tour would have been longer. Wish we can go back with the family next time.
Our tour guide Moon did such an excellent job and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. She provided very insightful and humorous information at the start of each location. We we’re given enough free time to look around Tai O at our own pace as well as Temple in Ngong Ping. A great way to experience Lantau Island.
Our Guide “Moon” was Lovely. Her communication via WhatsApp the day before the tour and the day of the tour was prompt and much appreciated. We really enjoyed learning more about the Tai O village and the Big buddah…. it was a much better experience than if we had of gone it alone on a self guided tour! Thankyou Moon & 360 tours for a wonderful experience 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
First take the MTR to Tung Chung Station and walk towards the Tung Wai Shing outlet. Note that there are arrows pointing to the cable car ticket office on the pillars and wall signs. You must first take the cable car to the mountain to meet the tour guide. It is recommended to buy a more expensive crystal car. There is a dedicated channel and there are really fewer people, so you don’t have to wait in line for a long time. The way to the ticket office is to ask everyone to line up to check in and sort out the tickets without classifying them. Then Klook has a special window. After you go there, scan the voucher code and you will be given a sticker to put on your clothes, an identification bracelet and a map of the meeting point. Then you will A staff member took me to the boarding area. The cable car was longer than I expected and climbed all the way to the top of Lantau. After exiting the station, walk along the only shopping street and walk to a red shop on the left. Just wait for the tour guide to come to you next to the advertisement with the words "Buddha Walking Together" on the wall. The tour guide this time is Ms. Sun Moon, who is kind and professional. She can take turns guiding in English and Chinese. The itinerary is to take a bus to Tai O Fishing Village (change to a boat to see dolphins, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, and the floating village, but I was unlucky and didn’t see it) Go to Dolphins, then go shopping and eat in the streets of Tai O Village (a $10 coupon will be given to offset the cost), then take the bus back to Ngong Ping Market to see the Big Buddha (you have to climb stairs, you have to decide) and visit Yung Lin Temple, and then... The ground is disbanded. You can use the original voucher code to swipe the cable car on your way back. The crystal carriage is queued in a separate row, so you don’t have to wait in line behind the long queue. It is for the ordinary carriage. Go boldly to the station and you will see the crystal Dedicated queuing entrance, very fast!
