Supporting Documents

• Passport Photocopy: A valid Republic of China (Taiwan) passport issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with “Ministry of Foreign Affairs” as the issuing authority and the ID number noted in the passport; the passport must be valid for at least 6 months.

Processing Days

• Estimated Processing Days: 3 days (excluding weekends and national holidays)
• The processing period begins once all required documents from the traveler are complete.
• Most applicants can obtain eTA electronic travel authorization approval within 3 days of application; however, some procedures may take several days to process, and applicants may be asked to provide additional documents due to personal reasons, which will affect the processing time. It is recommended that those who need to apply for a Canadian eTA electronic travel authorization submit their application early to avoid delays in their travel plans.

Application Steps

• After booking, please add the supplier's LINE@ from the voucher and provide your order number.
• The代辦 (agency) supplier will provide the [Canada ETA Traveler Basic Information Form] via LINE during business hours. Please fill it out and return it for processing. (This passport photocopy is solely for the supplier's application for the Canadian eTA electronic visa and may not be used for other purposes).
• After the electronic visa is issued, the supplier will send it to the email address provided in the customer's order.
• If eTA authorization is rejected, no refund will be issued.

Important Notes

• Please do not book flights, hotels, or other travel arrangements before the visa is processed.
• Foreign nationals traveling to Canada by air under visa-exempt status must first apply for an eTA electronic travel authorization.
• Taiwanese travelers holding a Republic of China (Taiwan) passport issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with a validity of more than six months and an ID number noted in the passport, who are traveling to Canada for tourism, visiting relatives, studying abroad, attending conferences, or business, are eligible for visa-exempt entry for non-work purposes with a maximum stay of 6 months.
• eTA validity is a maximum of 5 years, but not exceeding the passport's validity; if the passport's validity is less than 5 years, a new eTA must be applied for after renewing the passport to enter Canada.
• If the passport's validity is less than one year, the eTA's validity will only be issued until the passport's expiration date.
• Travelers holding a Canadian eTA electronic travel authorization must check the status of their eTA electronic travel authorization on the "Check your eTA status" system of the Canadian eTA electronic travel authorization before each entry into Canada. Applicants only need to enter with the passport used to apply for the eTA and do not need to print any other documents.
• Citizens of visa-exempt countries (except U.S. citizens) need to obtain an eTA before entering Canada by air, but do not need an eTA if entering Canada by sea or land.
• Canadian citizens and permanent residents will not be able to apply for an eTA. Such individuals must enter Canada with a Canadian passport or permanent resident card and a valid passport; if the permanent resident card has expired, they must first apply for a "permanent resident travel document" to enter Canada, or renounce their permanent resident status.
• U.S. permanent residents traveling to Canada by air need to hold an eTA (and a U.S. Green Card). If entering Canada by land or sea, an eTA is not required.
• Flight crew members and those holding a Canadian entry visa are not subject to eTA restrictions, but it is recommended to confirm with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) whether an eTA is required.
• Those who were issued a Canadian study permit or work permit before August 1, 2015, and are already studying or working in Canada, do not need to apply for an eTA if they do not intend to leave Canada; if they intend to leave and re-enter Canada after March 15, 2016, when eTA was implemented, they must apply for an eTA.
• Those who apply for and are issued a Canadian study permit or work permit after August 1, 2015, or an extended Canadian study permit or work permit after May 1, 2017, will automatically receive an eTA, but need to confirm with IRCC whether an eTA is required. If not, an eTA must still be applied for to board a flight to Canada.
• The Canadian Trade Office in Taipei suggests that young people who obtained a Canadian working holiday visa in 2015, if entering Canada after March 15, 2016, should first confirm with IRCC through their personal CIC account "MyCIC account" whether an eTA is required.
• Overseas nationals holding a Republic of China (Taiwan) passport not issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or a passport without an ID number (non-household registered nationals) are not eligible for Canada's visa-exempt treatment.
