The museum is inside Mi Nara. It's easy to find. We loved exploring the different displays and seeing the fish. We were in Osaka in early June and the museum was a welcome relief from the heat. Colorful and educational!
We went to this museum, which is located on the 4th floor of a shopping mall, without any great expectations. It's hard to describe, but it's all about goldfish ;) We highly recommend it.
Lovely museums, very easy to go to both using this bundle ticket! The Kingyo museum was beautiful and I got lots of nice photos of the fish in various displays there. The living things museum was a great experience, seeing kids come to feed the reptiles near the entrance with leaves was incredibly cute!!
Be ready to immense yourself with tranquility. If you are planning to visit Nara then you should not miss this place. Sit, relax and watch the displays.
The experience looks exactly like the photos. There are several rooms and some of them are interactive. The disco part is very nice.
It's so pretty to relax and watch. I'm satisfied. I don't think it would be bad to stop by and take a look after visiting Nara, Japan. However, it's a little far from the station, so it's a bit difficult to walk on a hot day.
we loved the gold fish museum it was longer than we thought when we started it so it was I really nice surprise. For the reptile one, it was a little less magical. They were cute reptiles and some you could even pet gently but it was not very long and most of them where just in their cage without art ou anything done to it (so it was more similar to a pet shop in a way). Still fun but if I had to rebook I will personally just take the gold fish museum because it was more artistic.
Both museums are located not very near to Nara Park. Best to take a free shuttle bus or a cab to M! Nara. I will not recommend these 2 museums if you have limited time at Nara due to the location. To be frank, these museums are not a must go place. We arrived at 4.30pm. Have to rush to complete both museums before 6pm. We did enjoy ourselves. My only complain is the location. Need to take shuttle bus back to Nara Station.
we had a great time. the exhibits are so beautiful and vivid. they make the most out of little space.
Nice to visit after doing the main attractions in Nara. Recommended for people interested in Art.
