Our guide and driver were very helpful and friendly, explained everything clearly and made sure our group kept moving on time. Everyone in the group were all polite and friendly too. The tour was fantastic, Shirakawago and Tateyama Alpine route are definitely worth the visit. The hotel was clean and comfortable, 5-minute walk to Toyama castle and 15-minute walk to JR Toyama station and shops. Overall I really enjoyed the tour.
This was a really different experience. Despite the long ride from Tokyo to Tateyama, definitely worthwhile trip. Our guide gave good trips on which side to sit to have good view on the way up to Tateyama.
I'm giving one star because our tour didn't meet the minimum number of participants, and we were forced into a local HIS Japan tour. We had paid HKD 26xx for the tour in advance, but a few days before, we saw it listed for HKD 19xx. There was no mention of a refund; they just asked us to agree to cancel the order or switch. Since we had other arrangements, we had no choice but to go. The entire tour was in Japanese. A translator was assigned to our group, but she seemed to be on vacation herself, wearing a neck pillow and eye mask, reclining her seat to sleep. At every attraction, she took photos of herself, asked other tour members to take her picture, and was even late. In contrast, our Japanese tour guide, Ms. Tanaka, was extremely professional. She managed all 35 people plus the unhelpful translator, and despite her limited English, she tried her best to assist us. The driver was also excellent. They both deserve five stars.

When you participate in this activity, you don't have to worry about your tickets; the tour guide handles everything for you, allowing you to relax and enjoy yourself. Any questions are answered quickly. I would choose to participate again if I have the chance.
There's absolutely no need to worry about joining this tour. In addition to an English and Japanese-speaking guide, a Chinese-speaking guide is also provided. Highly recommended.

Golden Week Schedule：For departures on Apr 25, 26, 29, 30 & May 2–5, the departure time is 6:40 AM (20 minutes earlier).
On the second day, travel to Tateyama Station, the entrance to the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, via the Toyama Chiho Railway (approx. 1 hour) or by bus. (Mode of transport cannot be selected and will be announced on the day.)
If traveling by train, a 15-minute walk from the hotel to Dentetsu Toyama Station is required.
The Toyama Chiho Railway offers unreserved seating, and seats cannot be guaranteed.
Departure times on the second day will vary based on your reservation time for the Alpine Route (departure will be between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM; you will be informed of this at the check in time on "day 1"). Arrival times will also depend on the Alpine Route reservation time.
Please ensure you bring comfortable shoes (waterproof ones are suggested, but not essential) and warm clothing for the tour.
Tour Cancellation Tours may be canceled if the minimum number of participants is not met (usually 10). Notice will be given at least 13 days in advance. In cases of force majeure, tours may be canceled without notice and fully refunded.
