This is definitely one of the best tours I’ve ever done. It was very well organised and a perfect mixture of sight seeing, hiking and wildlife watching. Dave was full of information on all things Aussie, he kept us laughing throughout the long day. The waterfalls were stunning, the food delicious and wombats are the cutest! Dave got amazing photos for the whole group with the Wombats and Kangaroos, we also saw wallabies, lyre bird, parrots, kookaburras and even an Echidna. If you are deciding between a Blue mountains tour and this the views and waterfalls are much better with Dave. It really was a perfect day!
I have taken numerous tours before... but this is the most complete one. Dave is doing a marvelous job. Never I been to such a tour where the guide drives, explains, and also provides (snacks, drinks, wifi, power bank...). And knowing most of us will not be bringing DSLR or CSC, Dave even snap some really good shots and send to us. The itinerary is good and although we are not able to get too close to the wild kangaroos and combats, we managed to get near enough. The seaview and waterfalls are pretty cool too, but the star gazing is the best for me. I can never see such starry sky in the light polluted city, but Dave brought us to one where all of us were wowing at the sky. Good job Dave... best wishes to you.
After registering, we received a confirmation email from the guide the day before, which included the exact pickup time and location. We waited at the Hyde Park bus stop across from the Sheraton Hotel. Our guide, Dave, was very enthusiastic. After picking up participants from various stops, he invited everyone to introduce themselves and share where they were from. Since there were quite a few Taiwanese people in our group, he even played some Chinese songs (he also asked everyone what they wanted for lunch and dinner at the beginning). Along the way, we saw a stunning coastline at the Sublime Watch Point. Dave had water, fruit, and various cookies in the car for everyone to enjoy. He also taught us some Australian slang and introduced us to the national parks we would visit, as well as Australian animals like koalas and wombats. We enjoyed a famous pie for lunch, saw two waterfalls, and in the evening, we searched for wombats at a campsite near Kangaroo Valley. Dave was excellent at spotting animals and took many photos with his professional camera, which he later shared with us. We also had the chance to see several wombats (some just waking up, others grazing) and even took photos with them. That night, we had fried chicken and fries at an American restaurant, which was very filling. The final highlight was stargazing; Dave took a group photo of everyone under the starry sky, which was truly beautiful. On the last leg of the journey back to the city, Dave was very thoughtful, dropping everyone off near their hotels. It was a very fulfilling wildlife and ecological tour.
had so much fun on the tour. Dave is the best guide. he was an all rounder who drove us, provided water snacks, even battery banks. he also took photos for us and photos were incredible. highly recommend this to anyone, local or overseas visitors!
Great experience overall. Entertaining roadtrip, great tour guide, and extraordinary scenaries. We got to visit two waterfall and saw the flying foxes before spending an hour with the super cute wombats and kangaroos (definitely the highlight of the day). Totally worth it if you would like to visit the different sides of Australia, especially for those with limited time.
The trip is awesome! Damon is a very informative and very nice guide for the entire trip. Had a lot of fun and enjoyed the wild animals in Kangaroo Valley, as well as stargazing. Galaxy was so beautiful! Australian pie for lunch and Australian dinner were wonderful.
An unforgettable trip! Our guide, Dave, was so enthusiastic and shared a lot of fun facts about Australia with us. He even gave us some local Australian specialties to try. The highlight was definitely the up-close interaction with the adorable wombats. The savory pie for lunch and dinner were both delicious, and the stargazing experience after dinner was amazing. To top it all off, Dave even drove us back to the hotel – so thoughtful!
We loved the tour guide and the day tour! plenty of snacks and drinks were provided. Guide was friendly, jovial and very informational. Lunch and dinner provided were yummy too. The waterfalls and canyons were stunning! Being able to experience wombats and kangaroos up close and personal in their natural habitat was a truly amazing experience for us. Also the driver dropped us off opposite our hotel! All in all, a very nice trip!
Our wombat & kangaroo tour with Damon was very nice and he was promptly confirmed details via iMessage and went above & beyond - providing snacks, water, power banks, and spare warm clothes for the group. His thoughtfulness made the experience extra comfortable. We visited stunning photo spots teeming with wombats and kangaroos in their natural habitat. Damon’s knowledge of wildlife and photography tips helped us capture perfect shots. The historic pub dinner was delicious, and stargazing afterward created magical memories. His passion and meticulous planning shone through. 100% recommend this tour and Damon’s exceptional service. Worth every penny for the personalized care and unforgettable Aussie wildlife encounters!
Absolutely amazing experience. Our tour guide is Dave, who is very experienced and very passionate about Aussie wildlife. He brought us visit some amazing scenic spots in the afternoon, followed by a good dinner at a tavern, and most importantly, we saw a handful of wild kangaroos and wombats after sun set. What’s more - the star gazing experience is one of a kind! I would highly recommend the tour to anyone who’s interested in wildlife and natural scenery at Sydney.
