Review for: Day Tour

Although it took a bit long to confirm the order, I was worried it would be canceled, but thankfully it went smoothly. Participating in a day trip is perfect, no need to research bus routes or how to get around. With a dedicated car service, it's well worth the price. Our guide, Miss Wang, and the driver were very friendly, and explained the itinerary very clearly. The guide was very thoughtful and even recommended what to eat and what local specialties to buy. She even helped us pre-order delicious Goheimochi. It was absolutely fantastic! The timing was excellent, with no delays, and she even reserved a lunch restaurant for us in Magome-juku. Visiting 4 attractions in one day - it's really great value for money! I highly recommend this trip!

Our tour in Gifu and Nagano was an excellent experience from start to finish. The schedule was perfectly managed—the departure and arrival times were exactly as stated, which made the whole trip smooth and stress-free. The tour itself was well-organized and enjoyable and was not rushed. Our guide, Liu, was friendly and accommodating. She offered helpful suggestions on food to try and things to do in the area, which really enhanced our experience. Communication was also very easy as Liu speaks English well and kept us updated throughout the day via WhatsApp. Transportation was comfortable and punctual, making the journey even more convenient. Overall, it was a wonderful tour and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Nagoya.

Super worth the price. Our tour guide, Ms. Yu, as well as our driver were very kind. We were right on schedule all the time. There were no delays and everything went really well. They also reserved a restaurant for our lunch in Magome-Juku. By the way, the lunch was so delicious. I had hot soba. We were also given a fan, a sticker, and maps as well. 4 places in 1 day - truly worth the price. Perfectly timed as well - not too short and not too long. This trip is highly recommended. I’d like to experience it again when it’s the peak of the autumn season or anytime soon.

amazing. The guide was lovely, there was plenty of time allocated to each spot and the restaurant we were taken to on the guide’s recommendation for lunch was cheap with decent portions and delicious. The bus was clean and any delays from traffic were clearly communicated. overall I would definitely recommend this day trip.

Amazing small group tour visiting sights that few tourists think to visit! The two old trading post towns, Magome and Tsumago, were incredible to visit. It was like stepping back in time a few hundred years and seeing what life was like back then. The bus was very comfortable, we didn’t feel rushed, tour guide was great, and the sights were amazing. wonderful tour!

Had an awesome time on this tour! Our tour guide, Sai, was nice and friendly. She gave clear explanations and instructions in both Chinese and English, which helped everyone feel included and made everything easy to follow. The tour bus was really comfy, so the rides between stops were relaxing. Every destination we visited was beautiful—every view looked like a postcard. The pace was just right, with enough time to eat, shop, and explore without feeling rushed. The souvenir shop owners were also super friendly and welcoming. Just a heads-up: there are quite a few steep slopes, so wear comfortable walking shoes. Overall, it was a great experience and I’d definitely recommend it!

We really enjoyed our tour with Liu. The tour was not rushed and all of the sites we visited are definitely beautiful despite the weather being a bit rainy at the end. I highly recommend this tour to everyone.

This is one of the more professional guided tours over done in Japan. The guide is very organised, giving clear instructions, maps and recommendations on the places of interests with notes communicated through Line / Whatsapp. He's effectively trilingual briefing a tour group of mixed nationalities including Japanese. The tour was well paced, with enough time to explore each of the sightseeing spots. I enjoyed the tour alot mostly because of the guide as it gives a sense of assurance that you are in good hands.

Today, all 12 people in our group were on time. Our tour guide, Xiao Liu, was very nice and professional! ! I feel very lucky this time, I didn’t encounter the latecomer 🤣 - The first stop is Yongbao Temple, which has the national treasure Guanyin Temple (only open to the public one day a year, the door is usually closed) and the national treasure Kaisando Temple. There is also a big ginkgo tree in the temple. The scenery is beautiful. It will be even more beautiful if you come to see the red maple leaves in autumn! ! - The second stop is Ena Gorge Observatory. I was worried that the weather would be bad and it would rain, but the sun ☀️ almost followed us😳 The photos were beautiful and the tour guide was very enthusiastic to help everyone. His photography skills were also very good. He knew where to take good photos and how to take them 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ The tour guide specially introduced the small stalls next to it. The food was good. The sauce and rice crackers of the Gohei cakes were homemade. The black sesame and chestnut ice cream are also recommended! ! It's a pity that the chestnut season has passed, so I can't eat chestnut ice cream. But the black sesame ice cream (¥350) is also delicious and rich but not chemical. The tour guide said that he has eaten in many places, but this one is his first. As expected, you will understand it after one taste. The sauce is great🤤 But you have to wait a long time for it to be freshly baked. I heard that there were tourists who wanted to buy sauce from the boss to take home, but the boss didn't sell it🤣🤣🤣 - The third stop, Magome-juku, was where we stayed the longest (two hours). Because the lunch time was included, the tour guide said that he could help book a restaurant and ask the other party to prepare local cuisine (tempura soba/rice) in advance. I think it is more convenient, so I directly ordered with the tour guide on Line. Unexpectedly, the location is right next to the waterwheel hut, super close and convenient. After eating, I just walked up and it was delicious! ! ! ! ! I thought the taste of the group restaurant might be ordinary, but it was unexpectedly delicious 😳 The soba noodles are so thick~~~~~~~~ The tempura is also so thick~~~~~~~ And it's not iced tea, it's hot tea👍🏻👍🏻 It's also served in a thermos bottle, so it's hot enough~~ The price is very affordable. The tempura hot soba set meal I ordered is ¥1500 and the tempura rice bowl my husband ordered is ¥1300 - After eating, we walked along the street to the observatory. The scenery is beautiful, and we are very lucky that as soon as we took pictures of the observatory and started walking back, dark clouds began to come over. It started to rain just as we were about to reach the parking lot, so we avoided it perfectly (⁎⁍̴̛ᴗ⁍̴̛⁎) I can only say that Magome-juku is an old street that is very suitable for taking photos in kimono, but the roads are not easy to walk on, especially on rainy days. Be careful of the slippery roads. The tour guide kept emphasizing safety because one of his group members slipped here before. - In addition, there are many things to eat in Magome-juku. I also saw freshly baked senbei, steamed buns, and chestnut grilled buns on the Internet, but I was really too full, so I only bought the first two to eat on the way. I bought wild vegetable buns for ¥250. It turned out to be quite delicious, and the fillings were well seasoned. Why do I feel that I haven’t eaten anything disappointing on this trip... - The fourth stop was Tsumago-juku. The tour guide said that he personally liked Tsumago more than Magome, but I was the opposite~~~ Maybe it was because it was raining when we arrived in Tsumago, or maybe it was because Tsumago shops were not open, or maybe it was because Magome looked better for taking pictures🥺 In short, I think Tsumago-juku is okay. The tour guide took us to see the "Ki Rock". But a long time ago (1891), the Koi Rock collapsed after an earthquake. The rocks fell down and it didn’t look like a carp, but people still regard it as a landmark of Tsumago-juku (?) It is one of the must-see spots when you go to Tsumago-juku. Although the tour guide showed us the photos of the old carp paintings, it was really hard to imagine 🙃 - After the trip ended today, we passed a rest stop on the way back to Nagoya. Nakatsugawa City in Gifu Prefecture is a famous chestnut producing area in Japan, so there are many chestnut products. I bought two kinds of cakes at the rest stop (because we were in a hurry with only 10 minutes). As a result, I immediately regretted why I didn’t buy more on the bus... Chestnuts 🌰 are really suitable for desserts.
