After breakfast at the hotel, we set off for Nan'ao Island, praised by domestic and international tourists as the "Eastern Hawaii." Historically, it has been a necessary mooring point and transit station for trade along China's southeastern coast, and is renowned as the "Barrier of Eastern Guangdong."
The [Nanao Bridge] connects Chenghai District in Shantou City with Nanao County. Built across the sea with a total length of about 11 km, it resembles a giant dragon resting on the sea surface and is the only mandatory route to enter Nanao Island other than by taking a boat. The island's natural bathing beach is exceptionally endowed, featuring flat and wide shores, fine white sand, clear blue water, no silt, no pollution, and no ferocious waves.

As one of the four famous ancient bridges in China, the Guangji Bridge (Xiangzi Bridge) (bridge-crossing fee at your own expense) has a common saying: "If you go to Chaozhou and don't visit the bridge, your trip is made in vain." Guarding this ancient city of Chaozhou is not a magnificent palace or a majestic city wall, but rather this Xiangzi Bridge, which has weathered countless storms yet still stands tall.
