Founded in 2018, East Foto Studio is a professional Shanghai studio specializing in expressive, cinematic portrait photography inspired by modern Chinese aesthetics. Instead of using the same poses and concepts for every guest, the team creates each session around the individual.

Before your visit, you will complete a short questionnaire about your preferred style, personality, and purpose of the shoot. The team will use this information to plan your outfit, makeup, lighting, atmosphere, and photography direction.

During the session, the photographer will guide your poses, expressions, and movements, so no modeling experience is required. It is a unique opportunity to experience contemporary Chinese visual culture and bring home artistic portraits that feel personal to you.
