Terms & Conditions

Registration

• Participants must carefully read all event rules and arrangements. By submitting an application, all participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, complied with, and accepted all rules, terms and conditions, Personal Information Collection Statements (PICS), and arrangements introduced by the Organizer now and hereafter, and accept the rights vested in the Organizer under these terms.
• Registration period starts from 12:00 PM on August 17, 2026 to 11:59 AM on September 13, 2026. All timestamps are subject to the event website's server time. Interested parties must submit their application, fees, and required documents/information via the official event website or Klook platform within the registration period. Successful payment does not imply acceptance of registration. The Organizer reserves the right to reject late applications.
• Upon completion of registration, a confirmation email will be issued immediately to individual/pet participants or the primary contact person for Friends/Family teams. Please carefully check all details. If any errors are found, contact petbus@kmb.hk immediately with the confirmation email attached for verification.
• Participants must ensure all submitted information is accurate. The Organizer reserves the absolute right to refuse applications containing incorrect data, late submissions, or non-compliance with registration procedures.
• The Organizer has full rights to contact participants using provided details and assumes no responsibility if registration fails due to inability to establish contact.
• All accepted registrations are strictly non-refundable.
• If no confirmation email is received within 7 days post-registration, participants may email petbus@kmb.hk or send a private message via the official Facebook page / Instagram account.
• Walk-in / on-site registration will not be accepted.
• The Organizer accepts no legal liability and holds final decision-making power for any delayed, lost, erroneous, illegible, or damaged personal/event data or notices caused by computer, network, telephone, technical, or non-attributable failures.
• Participants must ensure they are in suitable physical health for the event. The Organizer reserves the absolute right to disqualify any participant suspected of being physically unfit, and participants must accept such decisions.
• The Organizer reserves the absolute right to limit or refuse registrations, and retains final decision authority over all eligibility disputes.
• In case of any dispute regarding the eligibility to participate in the event, the organizer reserves the right of final decision.

Amendment of Registration Details

• Registration fees are non-refundable, and duplicate registrants will not be refunded. Bibs and event slots cannot be transferred or assigned to others. Disqualified participants and proxy runners will lose participation rights if discovered.
• To modify registration data, participants must notify the Organizer via petbus@kmb.hk An administrative fee of HK$50 per request may be charged at the Organizer’s discretion.
• T-shirt sizes cannot be exchanged once selected. Participants should consult the size chart carefully before making a selection.

Age Limits

• For safety reasons, participants must strictly adhere to the age limits specified on the event website. Violators will be disqualified without refund.
• Children under 3 years old are strictly prohibited from participating.
• Participants aged 3 to 17 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or above on the day of the event.

Pet Category Regulations

• The 800M Pet Category requires 1 or 2 adult participants (aged 18+) leading 1 pet weighing under 30 kg and measuring under 60 cm in height.
• All participating pets must be microchipped and fully vaccinated with valid vaccines, including but not limited to Anti-Rabies (for dogs), DHPPiL (1-5) (for dogs), FVRCP (for cats), and any other vaccines mandated by AFCD. The Organizer reserves the right to request pet licenses and vaccination cards for verification.
• Pets must be kept on a leash and handled continuously during the event. Unleashed pets and their handlers may be disqualified immediately to ensure safety.
• Large dogs (weighing 20kg or above), fighting dogs, or dogs categorized as "Known Dangerous Dogs" under the Dangerous Dogs Regulation (Cap. 167D) must wear a muzzle and remain leashed throughout the event.
• Participants must maintain venue cleanliness and immediately clean up after their pets if fouling occurs.
• Handlers must exercise full supervision over their pets at all times to prevent escape, nuisance, or injury to others. Handlers assume full legal liability for any injury, loss, death, or property damage caused by or suffered by their pets during the event.
• Participants understand and accept all inherent risks of the event and are advised to purchase valid pet insurance if necessary.
• Participants shall be solely responsible for any injury, loss, or death suffered by their pets during the event, and/or any injury, loss, or damage caused to other persons, other pets, property, and/or belongings during the event.
• The Organizer reserves the right to deny entry, disqualify, or order the removal of any participant and pet under conditions, including: (i) The participant or participating pet violates these rules; (ii) The participating pet appears dangerous or is likely to affect other persons; (iii) The behavior of the participating pet poses a threat and/or nuisance to others; (iv) (If applicable) The participating pet does not hold the applicable license and/or vaccination records; (v) The participating pet is found to be ill; (vi) The participating pet exhibits aggressiveness or poses a safety threat to other persons or pets; (vii) The participant is unable or fails to control the participating pet.
• On-site Veterinary Doctors (Animal Doctors) will be standby during the event solely for emergency first-aid treatment of minor injuries sustained during the event.
• Participants must strictly comply with all relevant Laws of Hong Kong at all times, including Public Health (Animals and Birds) Ordinance (Cap. 139 of the Laws of Hong Kong), Dogs and Cats Ordinance (Cap. 167 of the Laws of Hong Kong), Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Ordinance (Cap. 169 of the Laws of Hong Kong), Rabies Ordinance (Cap. 421 of the Laws of Hong Kong), Protection of Endangered Species of Animals and Plants Ordinance (Cap. 586 of the Laws of Hong Kong), Wild Animals Protection Ordinance (Cap. 170 of the Laws of Hong Kong), and their subsidiary legislation.

Event Rules & Regulations

• Participants must follow all instructions given by event staff to maintain order and safety.
• Participation is entirely voluntary, and participants assume all personal risks and liabilities. No claims for damages or loss can be brought against the Organizer, sponsors, or supporting organizations.
• Participants must ensure that they are in suitable physical health to participate in this race/event. Under reasonable suspicion, staff members, medical personnel, or security officers on-site have the right to request participants to withdraw from this race/event and cancel their participation eligibility without refund of registration fees, and the relevant persons must accept the Organizer's decision.
• Free baggage storage is available on-site; however, participants should avoid bringing valuable or bulky items. The Organizer accepts no responsibility for lost belongings.
• The Organizer reserves the right to refuse and cancel the participation eligibility of any participant who, in the opinion of the Organizer, is likely to commit any dangerous or unlawful act, and has the right to require the relevant person to leave the event venue.
• The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any participant, invalidate their event results, and revoke their eligibility for souvenirs or awards without prior notice for the following reasons, and the registration fee of the disqualified participant will not be refunded: a. There is reason to believe that the participant or any team member has violated, breached, or failed to comply with applicable laws or regulations; b. There is reason to believe that the participant or any team member has violated, breached, or failed to comply with the Terms and Conditions of the event; c. There is reason to believe that the participant or any team member has registered for or participated in the event in a dishonest or fraudulent manner.
• The Organizer reserves the right to refuse and cancel the participation eligibility of any participant who, in the opinion of the Organizer, is likely to commit any dangerous or unlawful act, and has the right to require the relevant person to leave the venue.
• Demonstrations, political or religious propaganda, and any unlawful activities under HKSAR laws are strictly prohibited.
• Participants are fully liable for damages caused to event props, backdrops, or venue facilities due to willful destruction.
• Prizes and souvenirs are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and non-redeemable for cash.
• The Organizer shall not be held liable for any loss of or damage to property, or any personal injury (including but not limited to direct or indirect loss), suffered by any person arising from participating in the event or obtaining or using any awards or souvenirs. The Organizer shall not make any compensation or bear any legal liability for any property loss or damage, claims, liabilities, personal injury, death, medical conditions, fees and expenses, claim costs, or legal proceedings incurred by participants or any other persons as a result of the event.
• The Organizer reserves the right to modify, terminate, or cancel this event at any time without prior notice.
• The Organizer reserves the right to modify or supplement the Terms and Conditions of the event at any time and from time to time without prior notice, and retains the absolute right of final interpretation of the Terms and Conditions of the event.
• The Organizer reserves the right of final decision on participant eligibility, the list of winners, award eligibility, and prizes without prior notice.
• In case of any dispute arising from the event, the Organizer reserves the right of final decision.
• Save for the Organizer and the participants, no other person shall have any right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance (Cap. 623 of the Laws of Hong Kong) to enforce, or enjoy the benefit of, any provision of the Terms and Conditions of the event..
• This event is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

Event Postponement

• The Organizer reserves the right to modify, shorten, or cancel the event under severe weather a. Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 3 or above, Red/Black Rainstorm Warning issued at or after 3:00 AM on event day; b. Landslides, mudslides, or hillfires; c. Protests, demonstrations, or the event route being blocked or closed; d. Force Majeure events, meaning occurrences beyond the control of the Organizer that render the event impossible, unsafe, or impractical to proceed (Force Majeure events include, but are not limited to, acts of God, war, hostilities, invasion, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, riot, civil commotion, strikes, slowdowns, lockouts or unrest, disease outbreaks, and acts or threats of terrorism).
• In the event of postponement, new dates will depend on venue availability and partner agreement. Registration fees remain non-refundable.
• The Organizer reserves the right to make any modifications regarding any changes to the race/event and retains the right to interpret the above terms.
• Any ad-hoc changes or updates regarding the race/event will be subject to the announcement on the KMB Facebook page. Participants should pay close attention to updates on all platforms.

Epidemic Prevention & Health Measures

• Participants must strictly follow public health guidelines issued by the HKSAR Government.
• If the event needs to be postponed or cancelled due to public health-related policies announced by the HKSAR Government, the Organizer will notify participants of the revised arrangements and details as soon as possible via the KMB Facebook page, the official event website, and email
• The Organizer reserves the right to implement contingency measures in response to different circumstances, the details of which will be announced by the Organizer in due course.

Personal Data Collection Statement

• Provision of personal data is voluntary. Incomplete data may result in inability to process registration.
• Data may be used for event administration, publishing results, fraud prevention, technical support, and media/marketing records (photos, videos, performance records).
• The Organizer and its authorized service providers shall have the right to use the information provided by participants for the following purposes: a. Announcement of results by the Organizer; b. Administrative work related to registration (e.g., confirmation procedures, payment notifications, and all communications regarding the event); c. Prevention and detection of fraud or abuse involving the event website, as well as technical support and logistical work carried out in the name of the event website; d. Identification of participants.
• Personal data provided by participants will only be disclosed to authorized staff, or agents and service contractors who owe a duty of confidentiality to the Organizer.
• The Organizer will exercise all reasonable endeavors to ensure that all personal data held is stored securely in a safe place, and accessible only by authorized employees or third-party service providers solely for the necessary purposes set out above. Such data will be destroyed within 90 days after the conclusion of the event.
• Participants have the right to access and correct their personal data. Requests must be sent in writing to:

• The Organizer reserves the right to charge a reasonable fee to participants for processing any data access request.
• The personal data provided by participants is solely for the use of this event, and the Organizer will handle all personal data collected in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486 of the Laws of Hong Kong).

Bad Weather Arrangement

If the typhoon signal No. 3 or above or the red or black rainstorm signal is still hoisted after 3 am on the day of the event, or the event is affected by bad weather, the event will be cancelled or a make-up match will be arranged. The date of the make-up match will be announced later. If you fail to attend the make-up match, the registration fee will not be refunded.
