Things to do in Rotorua District

The entire geothermal area has been very well preserved in its natural state, but it's actually a bit boring. Basically, you enter the park and then just walk around following the arrows, much like hiking. You read the informational signs as you go. Due to limited time, we didn't explore the entire area, only the orange route. Since we were with a small tour group, we couldn't cancel this part of the itinerary, so we had no choice but to buy tickets and enter. If I were driving myself, I probably wouldn't come here.

The tour was well organized, informative, and enjoyable from start to finish. It was fascinating to learn about the history and behind-the-scenes details of the set. The scenery was stunning, and there were plenty of opportunities to take memorable photos. The comfortable luxury van made the journey relaxing and pleasant, allowing us to sit back and take in the beautiful scenery along the way.

Warm friendly welcome from a real Mouri family business nearly 30 years old with original natural tribal surroundings. Good cultural shows & performances. Plenty of yummy " HANNGI DINNER" buffet.

We had such a wonderful time at this hot spring. The atmosphere was peaceful, the water temperature was just right, and the surroundings made the experience even more special. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip!

Klook pass does really save you some money and it's easy to also book the attractions. Just be warned that the standalone package dates and time availability is different from the klook pass

I've visited almost all the attractions around Rotorua, such as Waiotapu Thermal Wonderland, Blue Spring, Huka Falls, and Lake Taupo. What left the deepest impression were Blue Spring and Huka Falls, with their incredibly pristine water and air quality. I really loved these two spots.

Loved the introduction to different breeds of sheep! had so many close encounters with deers, llamas, sheep and you get to feed them. definitely go to the farm nursery to take a look at the baby calf and lamb! so cute!! great for animal lovers! just remember to wear old shoes since there’s lots of poo around. they have a shoe washing station though so no worries!
