What to expect
[Cape Kamui] Known as the legendary “forbidden land for women,” it is now a beautiful hiking route. Walk along the stunning cliffside trail and enjoy 360° Shakotan scenery. Stroll along the seaside promenade, with the magnificent views of the Sea of Japan on both sides, and in about 20 minutes, you can see a 300-degree circular horizon. [Yoichi Distillery] It is the only distillery in the world that still uses direct coal-fired distillation. This distillation method is labor-intensive and difficult to control the temperature, relying entirely on the superb skills of the coal shoveler. The whisky produced is rich and powerful, with a moderate smoky aroma. Another major feature of Yoichi is the use of new oak barrels, commonly known as “virgin casks,” for maturation. [Otaru] This small town, favored by the movie “Love Letter,” is a synonym for winter romance in the hearts of countless people. It is not only a fairy tale world intertwined with snow and sea, but also exquisite glass and music box art, with stories hidden in every corner. [Shimamui Coast] Located in Irika, Shakotan-cho, Shakotan Peninsula, Hokkaido, it is selected as one of Japan’s 100 best beaches and is a prime check-in spot on the Shakotan coastline. Its Ainu name originally means “rocky bay.” [Cape Kogane] Head to Cape Kogane in Shakotan to encounter Hokkaido’s limited blue. The clear blue sea is embedded with a natural heart-shaped island, and as the sun sets into the Sea of Japan, the sky is filled with golden glow, plating the cliffs with gold, hence the name Cape Kogane. Stroll along the seaside wooden boardwalk, and in the evening, await a divine sunset. In summer, enjoy freshly opened sea urchin delicacies, combining mountains, sea, and fresh food.

Reviews
we enjoyed with this tour as we can visit to many places and tour guide is nice. I would recommend to join this tour
it was my first time using a guided tour, and im glad to have tried it out! it was a small, intimate group so we really felt the tour was attentive to our speed. our guide Rick was really knowledgeable about each point, was always ready with a fact or backstory to match what we were visiting. we got ample time for meal stops, which I know can feel rushed during a busy tour schedule, but Rick was really good at recommending the better food options. really appreciate how attentive and kind he was overall.
We had a fantastic trip with my family. We visited amazing places, especially Otaru and Cape Kamui. Our guide was kind and very helpful.
Our tour guide, Grace, was incredibly professional, fluent in both English and Chinese, and very engaging and friendly. This itinerary was packed with activities, and the highlights were Cape Kamui and the new attraction, Cape Ogon. Although there was a fair amount of walking throughout the day, it was absolutely worth it.
The itinerary was relaxed and enjoyable, and the tour guide was enthusiastic and great to talk to, with no communication barriers. The itinerary was relaxed and enjoyable, and the tour guide was enthusiastic and great to talk to, with no communication barriers.
Overall, the one-day tour had great planning, especially the places we visited in after afternoon were amusing, and I promise you won't regret walking the hiking trails.
The experience in this trip was so bad that I had almost planned to cancel the next trip I had booked with Klook. The guide was just like a puppet with no personal touch. She did not even have any knowledge of the history of the place. And as soon as the bus stopped, she would get down and rush to the spot, without even looking back to check if all passengers have unboarded the bus and are able to follow her. She was in such a rush to complete the trip that I hurt myself in the attempt to follow her. When asked about the distance, she just smiled to say- I do this everyday. It is not a competion that we had joined, we were doing a trip in our vacation, trying to enjoy our trip, not run a marathon, competing with the guide and trying to match her speed. I was so disappointed with Klook that I wanted to cancel the next trip. But the next trip guide Leo was very good and professional
