Reviews
Kyoto chopsticks making workshop is a great group activity to do when your feet have had enough of walking the endless stairs in kyoto. a very doable and satisfying process, that results in a very cool personally made souvenir. location is easy to find, central and there is an elevator to the third floor of the building. The workshop space is well set up and clean. The staff were attentive and very helpful and super friendly. Highly recommend this experience and going earlier in the morning than later on when its busier
Excellent experience!! Super easy to do, and you can customise your chopsticks exactly how you want. The staff were really helpful and made everything simple. Perfect souvenir to take home definitely worth doing while you’re in Kyoto.
Had a hard time finding the place but an employee from another business helped us identify the building. They usually have various ranges of wood available but were sold out of some of their middle grade so they lowered the price on the more expensive ones. Misaki’s directions were precise and the whole thing was easily completed in an hour. Paid the extra for engraving as it’s my souvenir from the trip. It was definitely worth the money and would recommend.
the class was a lot of fun and easy for beginners. You get to pick out which wood you want to use. the upgraded wood was expensive so we all used the wood that was included in the price of the class. The engraving is around 2000 yen which was worth it to me. I’m happy with my chop sticks and it’s a perfect souvenir. The entire process took around 1 hour 45 minutes. all the people that worked there were very helpful and friendly.
We loved the experience! Claudia is charming; she explained everything wonderfully and was attentive to helping us every step of the way. We had a lot of fun and took home a unique and very special souvenir from Japan. We definitely recommend it! ✨🇯🇵🥢
So much fun! The most difficult part of this workshop was finding the room to go in, but even that wasn’t that bad. The instructors are fun and knowledgable. They were happy to help with any troubles. Highly recommend!
extremely into the experience and the worker Lu really wanted to talk to us about chopstick variety and how they are made. overall amazing experience
Amazing experience! Highly recommend. The most friendly instructors who explained the step by step process so well! Definirely something to remember.
great experience making and engraving chopsticks! had a good time shaving down the wood and putting an engraving on the chop sticks. they had multiple types of wood to choose from and you can put anything as your engraving. staff were so helpful and attentive!
very kind and helpful staff who assisted us when we made any errors on our chopsticks but was nice to have complete autonomy on what we wanted!! they decorate with a variety of languages and also include the use of emojis to really help individualise the piece! thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend!
