Reviews
Visiting the Elephant Sanctuary was one of the better experiences during our Chiang Mai trip. The place felt ethical—no riding or forced performances—and it was nice to see the elephants free to roam, eat, and bathe without being treated like entertainment props. The guides were friendly and gave us a short but informative talk about the elephants’ backgrounds and behavior. We got to feed them, walk with them, and even bathe them in the river, which was both fun and heartwarming. You could tell the elephants were well cared for. It’s not a full-day activity (ours felt a bit short), but still very worthwhile. The only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars is that parts of the experience felt a bit touristy and rushed—but overall, it’s still a must-do if you’re in Chiang Mai and care about animal welfare.
It was a wholesome and well planned day trip. Our tour guide Choo took us to 2 waterfalls, coffee village, highest mountain in Thailand and the King/ Queen Pagoda. He is very knowledgeable and professional, and we learnt more history of Nothern Thailand. Views were great and we had a great day!
I had an incredible time on the Doi Inthanon Day Tour! It was easily the highlight of my Chiang Mai trip. From the stunning views at the King and Queen Pagodas to the refreshing power of the Wachirathan Waterfall, every stop was breathtaking. Standing at the highest point in Thailand was a great feeling, and the stop at the Karen Hill Tribe coffee village was a lovely, authentic cultural experience. The tour organization was flawless, and our guide was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. If you are looking for a day escape into nature and culture from Chiang Mai, I highly recommend this tour!
The van felt luxury to me, and it was a 10 person group. It was lovely to visit 2 beautiful waterfalls, and up to the highest peak of Doi Inthanon, and the Grand Pagodas. Not much of walking needed. The lunch was great, red brown rice with 3 dishes and a coconut milk soup. End with sweet pineapple and watermelon. Delicious! Visiting the Karen village and Mong market is a plus too.
The Doi Inthanon National Park Day Tour was amazing! The breathtaking locations, delicious food, and our fun, engaging tour guide made the experience unforgettable. As a solo traveler, I also enjoyed connecting with others on the tour. Highly recommend this for anyone visiting Chiang Mai!
The itinerary was well paced and thought through. our guide Andy was humorous, knowledgeable and sincere to bring the tour to life. Been a while since I enjoyed a group tour. Andy also took many beautiful pictures of the trips and of us to share with us after.
Original I guessed it is a hiking tour. But in real, I do not walk a lot. We went to waterfall path and maybe walk 100m. All views are beautiful, and bus stop near the views. I recommend you selecting the tour.
the tour was interesting and the tour guide was very friendly and spoke very very good english. we enjoyed the waterfall although we expected a bit more trekking. we also enjoyed the waterfalls very much. the only problem we had was the van was a bit cramp and stuffy and we all felt car sick.
Pretty good tour of Doi Inthanon and would recommend if you are visiting Chiang Mai. The travel to and fro Doi Inthanon was inevitably tiring as it was roughly 2h of travel to reach the destination and then 2h back. There was a stop at a gas station to pick up some snacks and go to the toilet on the way. The guide was friendly and well spoken, and she took amazing photos of my family at the various attractions. The visit to the twin pagodas was the highlight of the trip imo, as there was a good view of the landscape and a pretty flower garden, making the other sights less impressive. Especially because there was no view at the highest point in thailand. Lunch at a local restaurant was provided and it was alright. There was a stop at the karen hill tribe market to support them. The visit to coffee house was also cool, we got to try different types of coffee and tea made by the locals and there was a shop to purchase them back home.
This is one of many similar tours that follow the same route to the same attractions. There were 10 people in my group with a couple of empty chairs in the minivan A good mix of things to see and our guide spoke English and Chinese and explained what we were looking at. Everything worked to schedule with plenty of comfort stops. You do feel as though you are on a high flow tourist trail but I’m glad I did this trip and think it’s good value and very stress free tourism.
