What to expect
Our company has been pursuing the deliciousness of noodles for over 90 years, three generations of parents and children, with the motto "Udon, whether you're awake or asleep". Aiming to make the most delicious Sanuki udon, we spare no effort in our traditional "foot-stepping" method, where our craftsmen step on each piece with their own feet to check the degree of maturity, stretch the dough, and then use the "knife-cutting" method to create noodles with a square cross-section and strong edges.
We are introducing to you a "hand-made udon manufacturing method that can be easily made at home" that is an adaptation of this particular method.
Let's have fun making delicious udon together while learning about the history of udon and why udon has grown as a food culture in Kagawa Prefecture. You can also eat the udon you make hot or cold, with tempura or Sanuki oden.

Reviews
The udon noodle master was very thoughtful. They not only taught us the entire udon noodle making process, but also allowed us to taste Sanuki's specialty snacks, which were delicious. We learned everything from kneading the udon flour, kneading, rolling, cutting, and finally eating the udon noodles we made ourselves. Whether it was the two-way udon noodles, tempura, Oden, steamed egg custard, or side dishes, everything tasted great. It was a very worthwhile experience. The activity lasted two hours. We originally booked the noodle making for 2:00 PM, but because our flight was at 5:10 PM, we needed to finish early to get to the airport. We discussed this with the master at the store, but because others also needed to experience noodle making, the activity could not be brought forward. We informed the master that we might have to leave midway at 3:30 PM. The master hurried during the noodle making process, and finally we finished the noodle making experience before 3:00 PM. The real feast was also carried out in full swing. The fresh ingredients tasted and looked great. The master and staff were enthusiastic and attentive. We also received a graduation certificate and a rolling pin. All the members agreed that the experience was very good. Thank you!
wonderful experience in shikoku. the package includes a lesson in udon making for around 35 minutes, to be followed by dinner which includes hot and cold udon freshly made.
It was a very interesting experience! The instructor was incredibly engaging and taught exceptionally well. That day, there were five Japanese teenagers, three Canadians, a child around ten years old, and the two of us from Hong Kong. Given our diverse nationalities, the main language of instruction was English, but she even knew a little Cantonese, not Mandarin! The class provided all the tools, ingredients, gloves, and aprons. Time flew by, and there was even time for photos! The instructor cooked my husband's and my udon together. You could tell them apart because they were cut to different thicknesses. First, a bowl of hot udon soup was served, followed by cold udon. Tempura and oden were also provided. If you felt you didn't have enough udon, you could ask for more. We had a wonderful two hours and got to eat the udon we made ourselves. Highly recommended!!
Everything from the experience, the staff, the food, the location, we’re all amazing! I was initially a bit worried since there weren’t many reviews on Klook for this, but everything worked out without an issue after booking. I was welcomed warmly and cheerfully by the staff, the lesson was fun and chill, the instructor tried her best with English instructions and tried making some simple conversations. Pictures and videos are allowed, they’ll give you a plastic apron and gloves after you change into slippers so most of your clothes won’t get covered in flour. you get to take the rolling pin and a certificate home which they give you a plastic bag for. you can also choose to take home the udon you made but it must be eaten on the same day. they will combine everyone’s udon and make it as part of the meal you booked, offering a balanced set meal with both cold and hot udon bowls. All in all this was so fun and worth it. Made my day in Takamatsu worth it. side note: call them for singles
Instructor: Very dedicated teaching, embodying the spirit of a Japanese craftsman 👍 Helped with photos 📷 Presented certificates 📄 Gave away rolling pins 👨🍳 Sumptuous meal set Location: Accessible by bus 🚌 public transportation 🚇 train 🚇 walking 🉑 convenient Experience: Professional, the process is not difficult and very fun, plus you can taste the work you just completed 🍜 Facilities: Clean, tidy, and comfortable
The whole process was a lot of fun, and the noodle maker was very friendly. She carefully guided us through each step. After making the noodles, there was a hearty lunch. After we ate the hot udon, we thought the set meal was complete, but to our surprise, there was also a bowl of cold udon, so we were really full and satisfied.
loved the experience. the sensei was lovely and even with Japanese, was easy to follow. even though our udon looked ugly, they tasted great. the meal was filling and enjoyable. would definitely recommend.
Very interesting udon making experience! The instructor was humorous, knowledgeabe and friendly. The side dishes came with the dinner were delicious. Highly recommended for anyone who visits Takamatsu!
This was my first time participating in this activity, and it was incredibly new and fun. The staff patiently taught us step-by-step, and even for foreigners, they did their best to help us understand the noodle-making process. Afterward, there was tempura and oden to eat, along with the noodles we had just made, which was really great! 👍 At the end, we even got a certificate and a rolling pin to take home, which was a wonderful surprise. Thank you to the staff! ❤️
Our instructor, Mi-san, was wonderful and made our experience very enjoyable. The udon noodles we made were prepared in both hot and cold styles, and we enjoyed them with a set meal. Not only were we full, but the food was extremely delicious. Everyone in the shop was very kind and friendly, leaving us with a deep and wonderful impression.
