- 06:00 Free shuttle service within the designated area of Hangzhou city. If you are outside the designated area, please go to the meeting point at 7:00. The specific time will be notified by the staff.
- 10:00 Visit [Ming and Qing Palaces, cost included] (tour duration no less than 90 minutes), tour the Jiangnan Forbidden City, a reproduction of the original Forbidden City, and watch the large-scale film and television special effects interactive situational drama "Secret History of the Qing Palace".
- 12:00 Group lunch (cost included, no refund if not eaten).
- 13:00 Optional visit to [Qin Palace + Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival, listed price 180 yuan/person] (tour duration no less than 120 minutes), visit the magnificent Qin Palace, the birthplace of "Hero", and enjoy the large-scale multimedia fantasy situational drama "Dream Back to Qin and Han". In the Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival park, experience the prosperity of Bianjing City in the Northern Song Dynasty, and watch the large-scale ancient magic situational drama "A Dream of Bianliang".
- 16:30 Visit [Guangzhou Street/Hong Kong Street, cost included] (tour duration no less than 60 minutes): Watch humorous and funny large-scale film and television special effects situational performances.
- 17:30 Gather and return to Hangzhou East Railway Station for dismissal, ending the pleasant journey (return to Hangzhou around 20:00). (This is a reference itinerary. 小朱 is a wonderful tour guide. Our trip to 横店 was truly enjoyable.
I want to highlight two disappointments with this tour. 1) Lunch and dinner - Lunch was not included in the tour price, but due to limited time and choices for lunch, we had to join the lunch arranged by the tour (RMB 40 per person). It is the typical Chinese lunch setup where we have many dishes to be shared by everybody at the table. Unfortunately, all local tour participants did not use the serving spoons. They used their chopsticks to pick up the shared food. I find this very unhygienic. The setting for dinner is the same as lunch. 2) Movie parks - we visited four parks - Qing Dynasty (Forbidden City), Song Dynasty (scenery based on a historical painting), Qin Dynasty, and Guangzhou/HK Street. In my opinion, only the Qin Dynasty park is impressive, and many local TV dramas are filmed there. We did not get to see those sets, such as houses, shops by the river, streets etc, that are used in the TV drama.
