Columbia Icefield, Bow Lake & Peyto Lake Day Tour at Banff, Canada

the experience was overall pleasant but there was some mistake on their side, where I paid extra for the snowcoach but they didn’t have the record, so they had to go back and check, it turned out to be fine after all, but I was not happy when they said they don’t have the ticket for me

This tour is quite unique in Banff. Other tours only visit the lakes, but this one includes a trip to the Icefields Parkway, which is a lot of fun. After booking, they'll ask if you want to add on a snow coach ride for around CAD$80, which takes you onto the glacier to explore (I forget how long it lasts). Overall, it's still a good tour!

The scenery is beautiful, and Bow Lake is gorgeous. It's a shame we only had 20 minutes; I think more time there would be better. The glaciers are truly stunning.

The most cost-effective tour! There were only 14 members on the day, and the leader Kan Ma was from Hong Kong. He could broadcast in three languages throughout the tour, so he was not afraid of not understanding even with the elderly. Because I live in Banff, I will leave the hotel at 11:20. Special attention is that there are only fixed hotels to choose from on Klook, but the tour leader will actually WhatsApp you the day before, and you can tell him where the pick up and drop off are. Different pick ups and drop offs are also OK, such as adding Calgary pick up and Banff drop off. The snowcoach of this group is an additional purchase, but it cannot be added here on Klook. I found the service provider on the order and added it. The official website says that it needs to be booked 14 days in advance. I guess they are afraid that there will be no seats. Whatever service provider is also a pursuit ticket, because the tour leader controls the time on the day, it is not easy to book by yourself, and the price of the service provider is a little cheaper. We were on the 16:45 snowcoach. We went to see Bow Lake first. Originally, this tour did not include the skywalk (time did not allow, the ticket for pursuit included the skywalk), but after the shuttle, the snowcoach took us to the skywalk automatically. What a surprise! Later, I asked the tour leader. The arrangement of pursuit was originally chaotic, and sometimes it would be like this. It was just a pity that the tour leader waited for us for almost an hour. In the end, we returned to Banff at 22:00. If it was Calgary, it would probably cost 0000…..

our tour guide Joseph was simple amazing in terms of knowledge presence of mind and mind blowing behaviour. ge was so so so energetic throughout the trip and had super duper knowledge on geography of alberta n history he was so friendly . also the snowride with wright n brian was very entertaining . i became a huge fan of joseph n would like to go on trip under his guidance. he is the best

The guide Joseph was really professional and friendly. We got to visit two lakes and an Icefield, and I would say the highlight of the day tour would be the hiking route to the bottom of the glacier Joseph recommended us to try! The view of the glacier from the top of a hill was just so amazing. It was a pity that the Peyto Lake was not open on that day. Hope that we could visit the lake next time!

The tour guide was excellent, providing a thorough introduction to the scenery along the way to Banff, which helped us better understand the geography and history of Banff since it was our first time visiting.

We were contacted the night before departure by our guide, Tim. He explained our purchase did not include the admission for Colombia icefields. We were unaware of this as the title of the tour is the Colombia icefields visit and at no point in booking we're we informed that we had to pay extra. The manner of the guide was unprofessional and was unable to speak English clearly. Before returning to Calgary, the guide delayed us by giving out money for something we had missed and paid for. He was not clear what this was for. He then demanded the service fee from passengers. So the money he just gave was given back. This all took 30 minutes. We got back at 9 pm. We had barely eaten all day. Overall, the tour was exceptionally disorganised and confusing. We felt that the tour advertised was not transparent about timings, what was actually included and that there would be several drop offs before returning to Calgary very late.

A very disappointed tour. Not recommend joining this tour unless you wish to waste your time and money.
