What to expect
We will contact you via WeChat/WhatsApp before 22:00 the day before departure and send you detailed driver and vehicle information. Reminder: The driver can only contact you through WeChat, you need to register WeChat by yourself, thank you.
- Depart from Urumqi in the early morning. You can choose a chartered car from Urumqi or take a high-speed train to Turpan and arrange a car.
- The first stop is Tuyu Valley, explore the ancient village for thousands of years, and feel the ancient customs of the Western Regions. Then go to the Flaming Mountain scenic spot to watch the filming location of "Journey to the West" up close and appreciate the fiery spectacle of the reddish-brown mountains under the scorching sun.
- In the afternoon, go to Kanerjing Paradise to learn about the structure and principles of this ancient water conservancy miracle and admire the wisdom of the ancients.
- Then came to Kumtag Desert, which is the closest desert to the city in the world. You can experience camel riding, sandboarding and other projects (at your own expense), and feel the vastness and magnificence of the desert between the rolling sand dunes.
- After the tour, gather and return to Urumqi, ending a fulfilling day trip.

this was an incredible tour visiting a whole bunch of famous places in Turpan, a desert climate surrounded by massive canyons and mountain ranges about a 3hr drive out from Urumqi city. The driver was so friendly and accommodating, we were very well looked after. Highly recommend this tour if you're after something a little different in China.

- Route 2: Small Group (15 people) - Urumqi - Tuyuk Valley + Flaming Mountains Scenic Area + Kumtag Desert - Urumqi bullet train (Urumqi bullet train round-trip on your own)
- Pick-up and drop-off service area: Pick-up and drop-off services are available in Urumqi city and Changji city. For locations outside the designated area, door-to-door service is not provided. You will need to go to the nearest pick-up point. Please consult customer service for the specific pick-up location.
- Schedule: The group tour departure time is around 8:00 am, and the tour usually ends around 10:00 pm, taking you back to the hotel or the original pick-up point. We will inform you of the meeting time again one day before the trip. Please arrive at the meeting point 10 minutes before the meeting time.
- Important Tips:
- Foreign (excluding Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan) tourists are not allowed to visit Tuyuk Valley Scenic Area, but can visit around the scenic area. Please consult customer service for details.
- Customer service will contact you to choose whether to travel by chartered car for the whole journey or take a bullet train to Turpan and arrange transportation.
