According to a textual researcher, Prince Gong's Mansion was where Cao Xueqin experienced life and gathered material when writing "Dream of the Red Chamber." The garden, however, was consciously designed and built by Prince Gong Yixin, who later enjoyed reading "Dream of the Red Chamber," to resemble Grand View Garden. The mansion is open for two sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, and private English tours are available, ensuring no language barriers for visitors to explore the princely residence.
