One-day tour to Stone Forest Jiuxiang, Kunming, Yunnan

Kunming Stone Forest - A Natural Wonder You Can't Miss Just visited the legendary Stone Forest in Kunming, and wow... absolutely mind-blowing! The formations here are nothing short of spectacular. Walking through these towering limestone pillars that have been shaped over millions of years - it's like stepping into another world. Nature's artwork at its finest. Every turn reveals a new perspective, a new angle that makes you stop and stare. The scale and uniqueness of this place are genuinely impressive. It's hard to capture in photos just how magnificent it feels to be surrounded by these ancient rock formations.

The friendly tour guide provides interesting cultural information and willingly shared participants’ queries with everyone. Coach driver can be more friendly and attentive to passengers’ needs.

We were left unattended for 2 hours in a cold, windy morning with no clue whether our trip has been arranged! The PIC told me that I would receive an update the night before 10pm, and went to bed at 1030pm. I woke up in the morning at 530am, and by the time I read the message in Didi, we were already at Nanyao Bus Station by 7am sharp. it mentioned to pick us up from the hotel at 720am to the rendezvous point which is different from Klook’s booking. No bus number, no tour operator. The more shocking part is, if we want a refund, we will be charged CNY50 per pax. From 7am to 815am, 2 different Didi came to pick us (arranged by tour operator) dropped us at different points. They expected us to walk based on map shared which I declined. After we declined, they arranged a Didi to pick us up and send us to another rendezvous point. Worst till, we were told no tour going to Jiuxiang Dong/Shilin, we were then being drove back by Didi to Nanyao Bus Station again.

I found myself in a group of only native Chinese speakers, who were all very kind and welcomed me. A special thanks to Rachel for managing the reservation and to the guide Ju. Thank you for welcoming me.

The whole journey was amazing and the tour guide is very responsive and taking good care of the whole tour. Jiuxiang is really amazing. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, this tour was way overpriced for the quality provided. The pickup was late, and the guide talked non-stop for the entire 1.5-hour ride, mostly promoting products to buy around the area. The microphone volume was uncomfortably loud, around 95 decibels (more than a nightclub), making it impossible to rest during the trip. The lunch provided was average at best. Overall, not worth the price and quite disappointing compared to expectations.
