Review for: Chongqing Jiefangbei & Yangtze Cableway Full-Day Small Group Tour

10/10 I would highly recommend this! The driver went above and beyond in guiding us through the beautiful city of Chongqing. We do speak Chinese, so communication was never a problem.

It was great. Our problem was the language barrier, as the entire tour was in Chinese. Hopefully, they can find a guide who speaks English. We saw a lot of things, and the guide treated us phenomenally.

Our guide is so lovely. We saw many 打卡places. Our group had less than 10people, If you like so many places one day, I would highly recommend this tour.

The tour guide was very accommodating. Free pick up at our hotel, free admission tickets. I am so glad to have booked this ticket, such a hassle-free experience, the people in our group were so friendly. Thank you so much for this.

Our tour guide, Miss Lan, was wonderful. She was cheerful, energetic, and shared many insights about Chongqing. She was well organised and gave us sufficient time at each site. It was a long day with about 15,000 steps, yet her positivity never dropped. She was always smiling and clearly loves her job. She truly made the tour better. Although we thought it would be easy to explore on our own, joining the tour was the right choice.

My first impression was how incredibly hot it was; I felt like I was melting, but I still had my fan and mini-fan. At Liziba, I waited for three trains to pass under the building before I got the perfect shot, and the sun made my phone scorching hot. The tour guide said the best spot was by the leftmost pillar on the observation deck, and sure enough, no one was blocking the view. After standing for ten minutes, sweat was dripping into my eyes, but the kids remained super excited. Overall, it was a great value, and we visited most of the city's attractions.

It is not a bad deal if your time is limited and you are new to the city. The driver is very knowledgeable about the best location, and the small minivan can get to places the big buses can't. Just be aware this is an unguided tour. You are basically paying for a shared ride with 6 to 8 other people to drive to the famous spots. At the historical sites, without a paid guide or audio guide, you won't get much out of it.

This day tour is fast and efficient. We’re picked up by a transport van at our location and taken to various famous attractions and Instagram-worthy photo spots. The boat ride was our highlight. I’m not sure if there’s a night slot, but if there is, it would be incredible to capture the city’s vibrant lights from the water!

Chongqing, this mountain city, isn't just for casual strolling; you'll be climbing hills all day, easily hitting over 10,000 steps on WeChat. During the day, Hongyadong is indeed just an ordinary commercial street, but our guide took us to the riverside, under the Qianximen Bridge, at 7:20 PM. The moment the lights came on, the entire stilt house complex looked like it had been set ablaze, shimmering with golden light. It truly felt "like Spirited Away," but it also reminded me of my grandmother's old house, adorned with lanterns during Chinese New Year when I was a child. The warmth of Chongqing and that dazzling golden light blended into a comforting liveliness. The overall itinerary was quite packed, and we didn't have a lot of time at each attraction, but I personally think it was great value for money, and being a small group allowed for more flexibility.

Review for: Chongqing Jiefangbei & Yangtze Cableway Full-Day Small Group Tour

Traveling alone with a child, I didn't dare to go on a free-and-easy trip, so I chose this small group tour. The weather was great in late April, and the tour leader helped push the stroller and carry the baby onto the ropeway. My child didn't understand much about the Zhazidong and Baigongguan concentration camps, but seeing the 'Little Radish Head' sculpture, he was very quiet, so I believe he still gained something from it. The Three Gorges Museum has a dinosaur hall, and my child didn't want to leave. When the lights came on at Hongyadong in the evening, my child exclaimed, "Castle!" The itinerary was quite rich. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes. Overall, it was excellent and offered great value for money!
