Istanbul: Traditional Mosaic Lamp Workshop - A Glowing Break

it was soooo much fun! Ilham was such a fun and informative instructor. He was very interactive with us and engaged with us. i would recommend taking this class when you’re in istanbul. its in a very artsy and colorful area, so much inspiration around. and you get to take home something turkish that you made by hand 🫶🏻

Making traditional Turkish lamps by hand is a lot of fun, and the finished product is very satisfying, giving you a great sense of accomplishment! The staff, Rusatam and Zeynep, were both very professional in their instruction. Everyone is welcome to come and experience it!

Had a 1-1 session making the lamp with zeynep. She is very knowledgeable, not only about the lamp, but also history and generally about turkey as well. It is a unique experience and best part is, you will bring home a lamp with you

If you’re up for some fun and creative time with your family, I highly recommended this activity. I visited with my 5 years old and we spent 3 hours there without feeling bored and really enjoying it! My daughter loves it a lot and it’s a good place to spent away from the sightseeing of historic places which bored the kids out. I’m really glad to found this place and it’s the highlight of our trip! The staffs are really kind and you get to take the lamp as souvenir home to remind you of good memories! They also have tea and snacks and a room where a family member who is not interested can wait.

Participating in the Turkish mosaic lamp-making workshop in Istanbul was an unforgettable experience during our honeymoon. Compared to simply checking off tourist attractions, this hands-on activity felt warmer and more memorable. The environment was comfortable, and the materials offered a rich variety of colors, allowing us to freely create our favorite patterns. My partner and I each made a lamp, and we had a lot of fun choosing colors and designing patterns. The moment they lit up was especially fulfilling and romantic. A special thanks to our teacher, Zeynep. She was very friendly and enthusiastic, making the entire experience relaxing and enjoyable, and adding a lot of warmth to our memories. These two lamps have become one of the most special mementos of our honeymoon. Every time we see them, we'll remember our wonderful time in Istanbul. Highly recommended to friends traveling to Turkey, especially couples or honeymooners. It's definitely worth experiencing!

They explained the steps in easy-to-understand English, so even though we don't speak English at all, we were able to participate without any problems! Thanks to them, I'm satisfied that I was able to make my favorite cute lamp⭐️ It's a great memory, and the staff are all very kind, so I recommend it when you come to Istanbul ✨Our guide Togrul was very kind and cool. You get the best souvenir when you design it yourself. It took us about two hours to finish our own mosaic lamps. The instructor Apo was helpful and the whole process was fun. If you like DIY and have a half day free, you can give this a try. experience:
