Built in 1537, Inuyama Castle is one of Japan's oldest extant, and is one of only twelve original castles left in Japan. The townscape developed alongside the construction of Inuyama Castle retains traces of the merchants and craftsmen who once lived there. Historical buildings line the streets, and cafes and restaurants utilizing these charming townhouses are very popular. Additionally, the Sanko Inari Shrine, located at the foot of the castle hill, features cute pink heart-shaped ema (plaque) which will add a touch of charm and warmth to your visit. Do all of these without the hassle, thanks to the round trip train ticket from Nagoya Station to Inuyama Station included in this package!

easy redemption. the old street at inuyama is nice and less crowded. the castle is popular among the locals. need to queue to head up the castle. can't really take much photos as it's really crowded and u just have to keep walking so that others can enter. there was a traditional performance along the old street when I was there. it was an eye opener for me.
good deals for travelers. round trip tickets with castle entrance tickets. will definitely recommend this one to other tourists! the castle is very nice maybe esp during Sakura bloom!
the voucher is very easy to use. just show the print out at the counter and they will give you the tickets that you’ll be using for the trip. very efficient and easy to use.
Very useful package. This was my second time in Nagoya and I didn't know where to go, so I chose this destination. Inuyama Castle is beautiful and worth a day trip. The only thing is that it is a bit difficult to find the counter to pick up the package tickets, because the Nagoya subway station is very large and foreigners can easily get lost. In addition, the voucher must be printed before redemption. (I forgot about it, so I went to a convenience store to print it out. All convenience stores in Japan provide printing services, which is very convenient. You can find relevant instructions by just searching on Google.)
2025/01/10 Spectacular! It’s a very beautiful place. I’m lucky to encounter snow. You can stroll leisurely along the old streets. The scenery of the castle is amazing. The slope of the stairs is very steep. Take a bus to Inuyama Station, walk to Inuyama Castle Town, and then stroll all the way up. The route to Sanko Inari Shrine, Inuyama Castle, and Atsutsuna Shrine is just a circle, and finally to Inuyama Yuen Station to take a bus back to Nagoya. This route is more convenient. It is more troublesome to print out the physical paper book and exchange it at the ticket counter.
Be sure to print out your voucher before you leave! It is very convenient to exchange tickets at the ticket office next to the Meitetsu Nagoya Central Gate. The ticket seller will explain each ticket one by one and will also specially mark the first ticket to be used, which is very considerate! Go to the Inuyama Castle ticket office and exchange the exchange ticket for the official ticket! The only downside is that there is nothing good to exchange for the coupons in Inuyama Castle Town🤣
A trip to Inuyama Castle is an experience filled with history and natural beauty. Built in 1537, this castle is Japan's oldest surviving castle and offers spectacular views. From the top of the castle, you can overlook the surrounding red leaves and the beautiful scenery of Inuyamashita Town. We explored the history in the castle and enjoyed the surrounding food and cultural activities. This trip was fulfilling and enjoyable^ - ^
It was a seamless transaction. Just present your QR code to the main ticket counter and exchange it with train tickets and passes.
I only gave four stars because paper materials must be printed. I originally wanted to use less paper materials and be environmentally friendly. I saw some comments saying that it is not necessary to print paper materials. I wanted to say that there is no need to waste paper, but I arrived early in the morning. When I exchanged my ticket at the station, I was directly told to use paper information~ It was really disappointing😭 In the end, I found a convenience store to print out the information and successfully exchanged it for the ticket. Inuyama Castle is still worth a visit, but you have to remember to print the information first. Otherwise, you will be like me😭😭 It is recommended that people who go there in the future wear a pair of non-slip socks. The building stairs in Inuyama Castle are very steep and it is dangerous to go downstairs. It may be safer to wear non-slip socks (because you have to go into the city) Take off your shoes) Appreciation of ancient buildings still needs to be protected
It is highly recommended to use this ticket for a one-day free trip to Inuyama. The ticket includes a round-trip ticket to Inuyama Nagoya + an Inuyama Castle ticket + and some coupons that can be used to visit Japanese gardens and street snacks. The redemption is simple and convenient. Inuyama Castle is built on a high ground and is beautiful during the day and at night. It is a perfect place for a leisurely walk without being in a hurry.
