Reviews
This was an excellent way to spend the day with a happy upbeat guide who spoke English well. My only complaint was being told to be at the pickup point by 7am for departure. The bus was loaded by 7.10am but we sat waiting until 8am when a sole passenger got on the bus. The bus trip portion of the trip was comfortable and when we got to Ayutthaya our guide did an excellent job of describing the ruins and their historical and religious significance. The boat trip back to Bangkok was excellent with a good smorgasbord lunch and a great bar for a relaxing drink while enjoying the scenery. The boat docks back near Chinatown so if you want you can extend your day by visiting there after a short walk.
Ayutthaya has so much history and the ruins were so beautiful. You get to listen to the history of Ayutthaya from our awesome guide Donna. Not only is she well verse in history but she really took the trouble to bring us to photo spots for great photo taking. After that you get to visit the Buffalo man where they made paintings using Buffalo skin where he has to create designs by hand. Then you get to go for the Pearl Harbour Cruise and enjoy a buffet spread while the Cruise brings you down the Chao Phraya River Cruise. Enjoyed the tour so much.
A special experience going to the historical areas in Ayutthaya. The guide did a very good job in explaining everything interesting to us and managed the time well. The lunch buffet was. quite satisfying. The upper deck was empty therefore everyone was able to go up and enjoy the view after lunch.
Go for the river cruise and also enjoy the 3 places of ruins. The driver will pick you up from your hotel and you proceed to board the bus to Ayutthaya. Our guide Donna was an awesome guide. She tells you of the history and also helps you take photos. Enjoy the ride in a boat. You get to eat to your hearts content. The boat brings you opposite Icon Siam and then your driver picks you up and send you back to the hotel. Extremely worth the trip.
The tour was great! The driver picked us up from the hotel on time & we left for Ayutthaya from Bangkok by bus on time as well. The local guide was friendly and informative and we managed to get to know about Ayutthaya a little better by the end of the trip. We went to a few temples and by lunchtime boarded a boat to head back to the city. The buffet on board was surprisingly good and it was nice to just have a leisure cruise passing by traditional wooden houses, temples & landmarks. Will recommend to those looking for a exciting yet relaxing tour of Ayutthaya.
Excellent experience. A guided tour to Ayuththaya is an enriching cultural experience. Our tour guide Donna explained the history and culture of Ayuththaya in a very engaging and humorous manner. For first timers, guided tours like this is recommended. Trip to Ayuththaya is followed by sumptuous lunch buffet with a great spread to choose from. This was an enriching experience.
We enjoyed the half day tour and cruise. The guide Donna was very informative and gave us enough time to take photos at each location. Taking the cruise back to Bangkok was a relaxing and we can enjoy the sights along chao phraya River like the grand Palace, wat arun etc...Also,the food on board the cruise was sumptuous.
This tour is highly recommended! Every aspect, from the seamless hotel pick-up to the tour itself, the lunch cruise, and the hotel drop-off, was flawlessly executed. A special shout-out to our exceptional guide, First. His cheerfulness, attentivesness, enthusiasm and deep knowledge, especially about his hometown and country, left us truly impressed. The lunch cruise was another highlight, with its wide variety of delicious food choices and excellent service from the team. We were also lucky enough to experience the tour during the Songkran festival.
Hotel pick-up and drop-off is very convenient, and the driver will also use a mobile phone translator to assist with communication (maybe due to traffic jams, arrival will be delayed by 10 minutes, but it will not affect the schedule). The tour guide speaks slowly and clearly, which is very suitable for tourists like me who are not familiar with English. The tour guide explains carefully and introduces important scenic spots from time to time on the river cruise. The lunch on the river cruise was delicious, the Thai curry and tom yum soup were delicious, and the service staff were also very friendly. It is very suitable for travelers who want to see historical sites and experience river cruises. The only drawback is that the boat feels a bit old, but I don't think it will affect the experience of the trip. Overall, it is highly recommended!
very good visit the guide Dona was very attentive and perfect for visits, beautiful cruise to bangkok, the buffet is good and varied
