Buckingham Palace is really amazing. Although I couldn't take pictures inside, I explained the life of the British royal family in detail! Good afternoon tea!
Buckingham Palace, you can travel a lot of time, but it’s a bit overwhelming after the trip. It’s a great package with afternoon tea.
It was a great experience! The place to meet up is about a ten minute walk from Victoria Underground station (look for the Buckingham Palace Road exit which is opposite the smaller WH Smith—turn left and walk straight). Once you reach Golden Tours, there is no need to exchange for a ticket. Instead you wait at the area directly outside the office. There are signages there to guide you. Due to time constraint, we were brought to the Palace in a bus. Once there, the whole group is to proceed to the tour group entry gate where the GT employee will liaise with BP staff to gain entry. After that you are on your own. The Palace is really a spectacle. But you are not allowed to take any photos once you pass the gates, until you reach the Gardens in the Palace (end of tour). The audio guide is free. Please do take it and follow the audio and video recordings to gain insight into the state rooms. Once you exit from the gardens, turn left and walk straight to the Hotel. If you had exited from the Buckingham Palace Road exit as mentioned above, you would have notice the hotel is on your right and is part of Victoria station. Once you enter the Hotel, the Tea Room is on the right side. You have to show them the booking reference from your booking. The tea itself is simple fare but enjoyable nonetheless. You can sit there as long as you like. Give it a try. You will love it. Initially, I thought there won’t be enough time as we reached the Palace only at 2 pm and tea is only available till 4.30 pm but you shouldn’t be staying beyond 1.5 hours in the Palace, so the timing is just right!
The advantage is that you can try the open-top sightseeing bus and pick it up from the meeting point to Buckingham Palace. The English afternoon tea in the afternoon is very elegant. The ticket picking process is a bit slow.
A rare experience. The arrangement is also very thoughtful. Have the opportunity to give it a try!
The palace is splendid! It is my favourite spot so far. The buffet is so so, no matter the food or the setting of the hotel, especially when I sat in the hall without windows.
Ticket office= easy to find. Simply showed QR code on phone & joined queue as required to wait for everyone booked onto the trip. We ran slightly behind schedule (waiting for others) and, therefore, boarded a company bus to the Palace. Guided access into the Palace entrance. Audio guide so could tour at own pace. Transport is not provided to the hotel but it is less than a 10min walk away. Lovely tea; phoned hotel day before and they accommodated dietary needs.
This was a really cool experience and we saw the rooms that are so many movies and tv shows. The tea time was also nice! I would definitely recommend this tour!
