Fantastic

Solo stay

Second time staying here and it was great. The staff is always helpful and the rooms are well appointed. Remember to grab your amenities and in room coffee/tea from front desk as you need it (not kept in the room). The bar area is nice, they do host events so it can get crowded at times but otherwise it’s a good end of the night spot. But you also have a large selection of restaurants and bars along the corridor so even if it’s busy you are just steps away from more options. The room itself is great, quality bedding but like most Japanese hotels the bed itself is fairly firm. Still comfortable though and the pillows have just the right amount of support. If you like a cold room for sleeping you are in luck as the A/C works great and with the dehumidifier you’ll have a comfortable nights rest. I had the larger wet bath combo for the tub and shower and it’s great! Excellent water pressure and temperature control. If you are looking for a comfortable hotel, with a great location then look no further than here!

Solo stay

I really liked the location and the hotel had that Japanese vibe in a modern style. There was ample space for bags unlike many other hotels.

Clean room, hotel is conveniently located. Dining options are all around the hotel area and shopping is also very close by. It was a great central location, quiet and just nice.

This was the 2nd Royal Park hotel that we stayed in during our trip. We were a bit disappointed in the size of the room. We thought it was interesting that you had to pick up at the front desk any extra amenities that you might need, wash cloth, tooth brush, face wash, etc. Breakfast was nice, but a bit confusing. As I sat there each morning I noticed that the staff preparing the food was taking bits of the food and eating it, never washing their hands.

Location is excellent and the staff are genuinely lovely — warm, helpful, and a true highlight of the stay. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end for me. 🛏️ Room Design — The room layout is a serious problem. One bed is fine, but the second requires you to literally climb over the mattress to get in and crawl out the other side. There is roughly 20cm of space between the bed and the wall, made worse by a raised platform that makes it near impossible to squeeze through. This is a significant design flaw that should be clearly disclosed in the room description. It may be manageable for younger, agile guests, but for elderly travellers like myself, it was genuinely uncomfortable. 🍳 Breakfast — Disappointing. Five rigid set options with no substitutions, served in what felt like an automated fashion. It lacked the warmth and variety you’d expect from a hotel breakfast. 📞 Post-checkout Contact — When I accidentally left my charger behind, reaching the hotel proved almost impossible. They provide a single international phone number that is extremely costly to call from overseas, and a FAX number — in 2026! This needs to be urgently addressed. 🎉 Lobby — The small lobby functions more as an event venue than a hotel lobby. Live DJs and parties on weekends make it unsuitable for guests looking to unwind. This should be clearly stated upfront so guests can make an informed choice. Five days here was a frustrating experience overall. However, the staff deserves five stars.

The staff was the nicest thing about the hotel. They were helpful, polite, problem-solver, smiling- They were perfect. The rooms were extremely uncomfortable. It is supposed to be for two people but one of them should walk on the bed to get in and out of the bed. We stayed for five nights and I was the one walking in and out of the bed. There is 20 cm between the wall and the bed. For some reason there is a raised platform which makes walking on the side impossible. Then the breakfast. It has poor presentation, very robotic service, not many choices, no substitutes. Lousy breakfast. Also, it is impossible to reach the hotel after leaving the hotel. The only choice is to make an expensive overseas call, or FAX!!!! They are trying to use less human intervation by modernizing, automating everthing but still expect Faxes???? I think I left my laptop charger in the room. There is no way to contact them unless I want to pay for an overseas call. I hope somebody reads these reviews. So, uncomfortable sleeping conditions and unpleasant breakfast for five days were enough to make me remember my trip not so fondly.

The hotel was fine, but it definitely wasn't worth the price. Having a DJ in the lobby is not a smart layout choice. Every time you try to get to your room, you have to push through what feels like a crowded nightclub. It was a strange experience for a hotel. The breakfast was disappointing—very limited and overpriced for what was offered. For a hotel at this price point, complimentary water and an espresso machine downstairs would be expected. The lack of in-room amenities also became frustrating. Housekeeping would make the bed and provide fresh towels, but they never replaced used coffee cups and simply left the dirty ones in the room. Despite being told the room would be fully cleaned, the service felt incomplete. Overall, the stay was okay, but nothing about it felt exceptional. Considering the cost, I expected much more.
