This resort could be wonderful. However, a lack of investment (and histroical typhoon damage) shows in dilapidated buildings and a sub par experience compared to other "luxury" resorts. But it's a good place to be, excellent location with a lovely resort team with some drawbacks that are good to be aware of before arriving: access is only by boat (P.1500 return each), no hot water in room, food options limited/no beer after 1st day, room did not lock as doors broken, island hopping was expensive for 2 (P. 5000 for 9am to 3pm) but better if you are a big party. Food was mixed: some really good meals, others arrived cold. Breakfast just ok. Games room dilapidated, photo must be c.10 years ago! This was compensated for in part, by a wonderful beach, island hop and sunset by the lighthouse. Overall a really special location and a good stay despite the drawbacks, but comparatively expensive for what it is now. (Note: on a hillside, lots of steps!)

Honestly, this resort is very disappointing and not worth the money. The place is already dilapidated, likely due to past storms, and it seems that proper repairs were never done. Many of the facilities feel worn out and neglected. One major concern is security and privacy—some rooms cannot even be properly locked, which makes guests feel unsafe. Food is also a big issue. Their options are very limited, and worse, you cannot order food on demand. Everything has to be arranged a day in advance because they don’t cook upon request. This is very inconvenient, especially since once you arrive, you’re basically stuck in the resort with no easy way to leave and find alternatives. Overall, the management should seriously consider closing temporarily for a full renovation and operational overhaul. This trip ended up being a waste of money, and I would not recommend staying here in its current condition.

Tugawe sits on a remote location overlooking parts of Caramoan. The resort is on a lush hill, peaceful, and soo green all around. Caramoan itself is amazing. Tugawe, while it might be a little outdated and has the limits of a resort in a remote location (finicky hot water, weak toilet, etc) makes up for its service. The staff are super nice, very accommodating, and helpful. Food was delicious even if a little limited in options. Again, given its quite remote location, the resort does its very best to accommodate and answer all your possible vacation needs. I do hope it gets more developed as it has the potential to be a premier vacation spot for those looking for an alternative for the more famous PI vacay spots.

We adored our 3 day stay. The location is far prettier than any pics you will see on the internet. The beach is fantastic as are the infinity pools by the beach and the top of the hills with THOSE views. It is breathtaking. To be clear the rooms are dated and money needs to be invested to get them up to scratch (that said, the bed was ultra comfortable). But the location, views, food (excellent) and boat trips made for a fabulous time for us.

Staffs are amazing, they all need a raise. The property is beautiful and the concept is like you're in Hawaii, but the owner needs to spend a little money in maintaining the property aesthetics, such as fixing some loose tiles on the pool and the dining area, caulking the edges of the wall in the rooms and tighten some loose power outlets. Swimming pools are beautiful but needs some scrubbing to get rid of the algae. Pool and beach chairs as well as chairs in the receiving area needs to be replaced or fixed. But overall, place is beautiful, price is reasonable. Rooms are spacious and clean. Some people think it's overpriced which I don't think it is, people needs to understand it's remote, everything they need comes from the mainland. I just hope the owner will maintain this place properly coz I hate this place to go to waste. It's so calm and beautiful, love the boat ride and the people are so nice.
