A very nice hotel, very spacious room and helpful staff. Location couldn't have been better!! The room was clean, but a bit worn out, especially walls. My only two small problems were: sewage smell that was coming in the room from time to time, I wish I could open the windows for a bit to air the room. I tried the airco and it helped a little, but not completely. Also downstairs there was no tea or water available at the mini -bar, only coffee. But there was tea in the room and I just drank tap water, so it wasn't really an issue. Overall very nice stay, I would happily stay again

Pretty nice. Convenient location to everything in sapporo. Staff were very nice and helpful with lots of amenities provided. They only clean every 3 days but they replace towels without entering the room which kept peace of mind. The only thing of note is that the pillows were a little hard for my liking.

Japan is notorious for small hotel rooms, and it's true - but our hotel room was sufficient for our needs. We spent most of the day outside and only used the room for sleeping at night so we would rather spend that extra cash shopping or dining. This location was great as it was a walking distance from all the places we visited in Sapporo and there's a Lawson and 7-eleven nearby. This is a great budget option without sacrificing comfort and convenience. Would come back again if we have the opportunity.

We stayed 3 nights at Smile hotel and loved it! The staff is very friendly (and English speaking!), helpful and proactive (the room was too hot and stuffy for our liking and the problem got solved very quickly). The room was an ok size and had everything we needed. Brilliant location, in walking distance to everything interesting. Thanks for making our stay in Sapporo so comfortable!!
