The place was very run down and not very well maintained at all. It made me want to take a shower just staying there, but not their shower. We paid extra for a room with a view and it was obstructed. We were also excited to stay on the tatami mats, but the staff never put them out for us, which was disappointing but probably better given the state of the room. In the morning at the checkout desk, it literally advertised selling postage stamps, but the staff were confused and couldn't help me. The only saving grace was the food, which is obviously where this hotel put all of their effort. The night meal was elaborate and decent, as was the breakfast (please note there are absolutely no Western breakfast options as advertised). Save yourself the money, find a restaurant with a kaiseki dinner, and find a better hotel instead. We stayed at Hotel Nikko Osaka for the second half of the trip and were much happier.

This was a traditional Japanese hotel. Our room was very large compared with o the many 3 star hotels we had staying at before this one. The room came with twin beds. We also had a tatami room with option of sleeping on a futon. The woodwork in the room was amazing. We chose the half board option which included a traditional dinner and breakfast. The dinner was a 15 course amazing dinner and the breakfast was just as impressive. The location was across the street from the Dotonburi shopping district.

Uuummm no sofa in the room to sit down, mattress on the floor, very traditional Japanese style, the bath tubs were old , shower curtain at the bottom were moldy. In general not to my standards

We had a fairly small bathroom for 3 women sharing a room. An extra mirror outside the bathroom would have been helpful

Good location for the shopping and night life, could be a bit crowded at times. Some of the first floor carpeting looked worn and dark in areas, especially the elevator. The room and bath area and sauna were all good and well maintained with all the amenities that we needed.
