Below average The room you get isn’t the room you’ve reserved. You even have to pay extra to get towels. Horrible, don’t stay here.

Let me preface this review by saying I am old and suffer from chronic pain. As such, I tend to judge hotels hardly if they can't manage to have a remotely comfortable bed. It's why I can no longer stay at capsule hotels like I could in my youth. So, bearing that in mind, if you are young, fit and can sleep on your back/on a flat, harsh surface, you can add a star to my review and ignore the start. Onto the review.
This place was a little confusing. The name of the hotel appears to just be the check in part across the street, the actual hostel has another name and is delightfully retro. It feels like it was built in the 70s, if that. It's a bit run down. There's no elevator. The black on brown doors makes the numbering basically invisible, especially with the dank lighting. It's also one of those places where basic amenities are an extra.
That being said, if not for the bed which was hard as a rock, it's fine. The showers work. The door locks work. The internet works. And just a short walk from a main street, a bus stop and a train station. Not too bad.
Between the state of the bathrooms alone (but also elsewhere) and the fact those who stay are required to strip the bedding themselves upon checking out, I surmise they have no cleaners. Between that and the very haphazard wiring, scary even, especially in the bathrooms; the vibe isn't great. At the right price, it's fine I suppose. But very very low standards.

The female floor on the fifth floor had nicely-decorated walls and a bright shared bathroom. However, some guests smoked in their rooms which meant that the corridor frequently reeked of cigarettes. The shared kitchen also lacked some basic amenities like knives, and there was often traffic noise from the highway next to the hostel. But overall, a comfortable place to stay in :).

The cleanness is low and there is no elevator for 5 floor building. If you have the big luggage, I don't recommend this place.

I looed everything about the property! Very clean. And great location. Had the very traditional Japanese feel. I just wish I was told ahead of time it didnt have an elevator so I knew I had to carry my giant bags up five flights of stairs.

Good My room is Japanese style, very small but still sufficient amenities, tv, fridge, hanging rail and long shelf. Yet, on 5th floor, no lift, kitchen, shower, toilet and laundry at end of a long corridor. Lobby and check-in on ground floor of the opposite building. WiFi almost nil, but I have not tried in the lobby. For such cheap price, it is worthy, considering privacy of having a room.
