Great Clean property with good amenities. Most staff speak good English. The only issue I feel is that it is quite a distance from the train station.

Hotel is nearer to sunshine city which is great. However, there is no trash bin in the toilet which is difficult for travellers to throw away their sanitaries trash.

Fantastic Clean, efficient room. Quiet location with conveniences nearby. Staff was very helpful with luggage transfer. I appreciated the umbrellas to borrow for the rainy days! I also enjoyed the complimentary toiletries (facial care, lotion, toothbrush’s etc). We had a great 1st stay in Japan. Thank you Koko Hotel Ikebukuro: )

FantasticSolo stay
You have to walk a little bit to get to certain shops, but when you check-in, with your room card, you get a small map of what’s around the hotel and within walking distance. The staff were very kind at check-in, during my stay, and at my check out. They answered my questions regarding forwarding my luggage to my next hotel. Although I don’t speak Japanese, other than the basics, the employee was able to help me either way, with the help of a translator equipment. The room was a reasonable size for me as a solo traveller.

GreatStayed with family
Compared to typical Tokyo hotel rooms, our double twin room at Koko Hotel Ikebukuro was unexpectedly spacious. Lots of room for our 2 large suitcases and carryon. Large vanity table with kettle, ice bucket, cups, glasses inside the drawer. No closet but one cabinet with 3 shelves, and a hanging wall with 6 hangers. In room a/c, bidet in washroom and a tub/shower with a large sink (I hate tiny sinks!) Window to peek at weather outside. They have eco friendly initiative so rooms are cleaned every 3rd day but they do change towels daily, if desired, via special bags hung outside your room. Same with garbage. They provide yukata which is changed every 3rd day, together with the sheets. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and face/hand wash in room are DHC Olive Care and smell divine. Lots of complimentary self serve amenities in the lobby like toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, shave gel, cleansing oil, cleanser, toner and cream, bath salts, swabs, ear plugs, hair oil, hair tie, coffee, green tea, assorted tea bags and they give you special local dashi as welcome gift. Very nice touch. There are 3 coin operated washing machines ¥300/load and 3 dryers ¥100/30min on site as well as vending machines and ice machines. There’s a fresh orange juice machine just outside the hotel entrance. Location is excellent. Lots of cafes, I’m Donuts?, restaurants, shopping nearby and Ikebukuro station is 7-10min walk. Local square has pop up events. Highly recommend!

Good The hotel is ok, the rooms are small but comfortable. Wifi is fantastic, The staff was ok, the only negative was the room was a bit dusty and old. It felt 80's. I knew something was strange when I went to the bathroom, the bathroom curtain hooks were not locked. From experience in working in hotels in the past this was a sign that the housekeeper didn't want to lock so it's easier for to change. I get it but it looks bad and I poked myself on the hinges.
