I’m disappointed to say that my experience at this homestay in Kuala Lumpur did not meet expectations, especially when it came to communication. While the unit itself was generally decent, the amenities left a lot to be desired. I had booked the stay for six nights, but there were not enough basic amenities provided for that duration—items like towels and soaps were insufficient, and there was no proactive communication to check if we needed replenishments or cleaning during the stay. The towels that were provided were also very worn out and appeared patched and damaged, which gave an overall impression of poor upkeep. Cleanliness was another concern. The unit was not as well-maintained as expected, with visible mould on the bathroom floor and along the lower parts of the walls. The biggest issue, however, was the lack of communication from the host or property management. The air conditioner in the main bedroom was leaking, and despite multiple messages and attempts to call, I received no response at all. This left me with no choice but to sleep without air conditioning on my last night, which was extremely uncomfortable given Kuala Lumpur’s hot weather. Overall, while the unit had potential, the poor maintenance and especially the unresponsive communication made this a frustrating and disappointing stay.

Do not stay at this accommodation, it is terrible. When we arrived at the location there is no signage and we were not given any prior instructions. After calling and then corresponding by WhatsApp, we finally after a very stressful hour, were given directions on how to retrieve keys. Please note this is not a hotel but residential apartments. We stayed in a 3 bedroom suite which was grotty and dirty with old and used furniture. Sofa which doubled as bed was rock hard, one dining chair had a broken back, cutlery and crockery set out on table was dusty. Towels were stained and threadbare and sheets were old, stained and yellow. Only saving grace is amenities on 8th floor with two fantastic pools and a pool with bucket for young kids, gym, walking track and great viewing deck on level 66. As this is not a hotel there is also nowhere to store luggage if you have a later flight. So disappointing, thankfully we only had two nights here.

Pros: the room was clean and new, with a great view and no problems. Not bad for the price. Ground level area has some good restaurants with low prices. Cons: hard to find, very confusing. There are 3 buildings and it isn't clear where to enter yours. 3 out of 4 doors are closed to get into my building, then instead of a normal receptionist you go to the security guard to check in and then get your keys in a nested mailbox with a badly working lock. I had to start a chat in Whatsapp to understand what to do since initially they had not sent me the room, then they sent one in another building, retracted and sent another. The elevators (several are off, so you can only use a subset) are always packed and have technical issues in their controls, like the card reader only works on one side. There is no sign to tell you that or any of the other weird quirks on this building, the management really needs to look at this from a customer experience point of view.
