Umekōji Park tours

I was truly impressed with this trip. Every place we visited was absolutely beautiful. The guide took great care of us and gave us enough time at each destination to fully enjoy and soak in the atmosphere. The travel time between each stop was just right, and I loved every destination along the way. I would definitely love to come back and take this trip again!

Amy made this a very memorable experience. She was very informative with providing information about each stop. She took amazing photos of myself & others on the tour. She gave great recommendations. She even went out of her way to purchase & provide snacks to share with everyone on the tour as well as offering free postcards & calligraphy cards with our name. When it started to rain, she even provided umbrellas! I would recommend Amy to friends & family! & I would book future tours with her whenever I return.

Our guide Ms Shion was amazing! She is very enthusiastic and engaging. The walk covers quite a lot at a good pace but we didn’t spot any maikos or geishas which was my main objective. I wonder if the route could be reversed so there’s a higher chance of spotting the talented artistes at the the Queen of Geisha district?

Our tour guide, who could switch between Chinese, Japanese, and English, and also spoke Korean, made sure every group member was taken care of. It was a huge benefit not having to research the history and stories of each attraction ourselves. They offered pre-ordered lunch, which allowed us more time to explore Kiyomizu-dera Temple and its surroundings, and the food was quite good. The itinerary was well-paced for the limited time (however, this tour is not suitable for travelers who prefer to savor sights slowly or spend a lot of time taking photos, as the time allotted for Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine doesn't allow for walking the entire Senbon Torii path!). The tour bus was clean and tidy, and the ride was smooth and steady. I'm prone to motion sickness and usually sleep on buses, and I didn't wake up due to poor driving.

This tour was great, very punctual, and they complied 100% with what they offered. My guide "Effy" was super special; she explained everything super clearly, even with slides. Super recommended. We had a great experience with Ben who was very knowledgeable. Booking this on the first night arriving was a good idea to beat the heat during the day and we managed to cover a lot of area including some uphill locations which would have been exhausting by foot. We learnt a lot about the general history of Kyoto itself and significance of a few sites which was a great base to build upon for the rest of the trip thank you again Ben!

Aye was an absolutely amazing tour guide at Nijo Castle! He was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so many fascinating details about the castle, its history, and features that we never would have noticed on our own. I had previously visited Nijo Castle without a guide, and I can honestly say that this experience was 100% better. I learned so much and walked away with a completely new appreciation for the castle and its history. On top of being an excellent guide, Aye was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. When it started to rain during our tour, he even offered to get umbrellas for us! It was such a kind gesture and really showed how much he cares about the people on his tours. I cannot recommend Aye enough. If you’re visiting Nijo Castle in Kyoto, having him as your guide makes the experience so much more meaningful and memorable. Thank you, Aye, for such a wonderful tour!

I was really looking forward to the guide! Our guide, Oh Seok-bong! He was incredibly knowledgeable and witty, making the bus ride enjoyable and informative with his insights into Japanese culture. He guided us with such passion, and I highly recommend GOGODAY Tour. I used them in Fukuoka and was satisfied, so I plan to use them again for my next trip. My father and son both had a great time.
