Very convenient for early morning flight. Hotel is located within meters from check in counter and shopping centre. The room is dated but it is clean.

Hotel JAL City Chitose is very close to the JR station, right at the entrance, which is extremely convenient. There's a restaurant downstairs where breakfast is also served, and it's decent. It's a top choice for early morning flights. They even have a special train-themed room, perfect for train enthusiasts.

Portom International Hokkaido was by far our best hotel stay in Japan so far. Directly connected to New Chitose Airport, this five-star “museum hotel” ranked 9th among the World’s Best Airport Hotels and 4th in Asia. Our Junior Suite Double was around ¥50,000 and incredibly spacious, with a walk-in closet, stylish bathroom, sofa area, airport-facing bed, and a completely free minibar with drinks and snacks. Don't miss the 5F art display, gym, onsen, and Guest Room lounge. Our stay also included a free drink at the 8F bar and the 4F Café Sky Library. Staff even let us use the café drink after checkout, so after exploring the airport we returned for ginger ale and Darjeeling tea among the books before our flight. An exceptional airport hotel we'll definitely return to, especially for the quality and generous inclusions.

We needed to check in and check out ourselves at the kiosk, but we hadn't received any verification code beforehand. We felt quite lost upon arrival and had to call staff for a live video verification on camera to get the check-in code, which took nearly 20 minutes of hassle. Late-night arrivals should take note, as there is no staff on-site to assist throughout the entire place.

The room was very tidy, and the facilities were excellent, especially the bathroom, which I was most satisfied with. The location is very close to New Chitose Airport, making it convenient for those with early morning departures or late-night arrivals in Japan. For those driving, the nearby amenities are also very sufficient. The only minor drawback is the frequent overhead aircraft, especially in the morning when what sounded like fighter jets flew overhead, creating quite a bit of noise.

Our stay at Hotel AreaOne Chitose was fantastic, and the most impressive feature was definitely its location. It's about a 5-minute walk from the South Exit of JR Chitose Station, and the route is easy to navigate even when pulling large luggage. Whether you are heading into the city right after getting off a plane or catching an early morning flight out of New Chitose Airport the next day, you won't have to worry about transportation, making it very hassle-free for air travelers. The separate large public baths for men and women are another major highlight. After a whole day of traveling outside, being able to soak in a spacious and comfortable bath to thoroughly relax and wash away the fatigue is so much better than the cramped bathrooms in typical business hotels. With reasonable room rates and solid amenities, this is a top accommodation choice with extremely high value for money when traveling to Hokkaido through New Chitose Airport.
