Jinshan District

The best time to visit Jinshan District is from October to April, when temperatures are cooler for hot springs, old street walks, and coastal viewpoints. Summer is good for sea views but can be hot, humid, and affected by typhoons.

From Taipei, take buses toward Jinshan from Taipei Main Station, Taipei City Hall, or nearby transport hubs, depending on the route. Driving or joining a North Coast day tour is the easiest option if combining Jinshan with Wanli and Yehliu.

Jinshan Old Street is walkable, but coastal viewpoints and hot spring hotels are easier by taxi, bus, or private car. Check bus return times in advance if traveling without a car.

Stay near Jinshan Old Street for food and local atmosphere, or choose a hot spring hotel between Jinshan and Wanli for spa facilities and sea views. Many visitors stay in Taipei and visit Jinshan on a day trip if they prefer more nightlife and transport options.
