The best time to visit Lugang Township is from October to April, when central Taiwan is cooler and drier for temple walks and old street exploring. Weekdays are quieter than weekends and festival periods.

Take Taiwan Railways to Changhua Station, then continue by bus or taxi to Lugang. From Taichung HSR Station, buses and taxis can also connect to Lugang, with driving usually the most flexible option.

Lugang's historic core is best explored on foot. Use taxis, buses, or rental bikes for longer hops between the old street, temples, and nearby museums.
