Xindian District

The best time to visit Xindian District is from October to April for cooler riverside walks and comfortable outdoor dining at Bitan. Summer evenings can still be enjoyable, but expect heat, humidity, and occasional storms.

Take the Taipei Metro Green Line to Xindian Station for Bitan Scenic Area. From central Taipei, the MRT is usually the simplest and most reliable route.

Walk around Bitan and central Xindian, then use MRT, buses, taxis, or bikes for nearby neighborhoods. For Wulai, take a bus or taxi from Xindian Station.

Stay near Xindian Station or Bitan if you want river views and a quieter base with MRT access. Central Taipei is better for first-time visitors who prioritize nightlife and major landmarks. Wulai is a better overnight option if hot springs and mountain scenery are the main focus.
