It was an amazing experience. I didn't have any expectations from the start but openness to what will happen. It was my last day in Osaka Japan and I was heading home to the Philippines a few hours after. My friends said not to take the tour and instead go shopping. I only said that I could go shopping at home anytime, and in my heart this was an experience that I will remember, indeed it was! Anna personally picked me up at the train exit and we shared stories on our way to her ceramic shop. She was very kind and I enjoyed the learning experience with her. I enjoyed my "wabi Sabi" pottery and embraced the imperfections in my made piece. it was an experience definitely taking! I highly recommend it to those mom's like me who want to take pottery class and achieve zen amidst the chaos. it became a private class since I was the one taking the class during that day. I love the experience, thank you Anna!
Private workshop in a traditional house. We learned a lot and the teacher is from Spain and very very nice. We are excited to see the finished pieces. Can really recommend this workshop!! please try it out if I like DIY.
Thank you so much!!! We had a wonderful experience with you making amazing authentic Japanese pottery; this was definitely a highlight of our first trip to Osaka!!! From picking us up at the train station to recommending a very delicious local dinner after our class, the whole time we spent with you was amazing. Your patience and passion for pottery is readily evidenced by the care and kindness you showed us. I highly recommend this experience to old and young alike; our 7 year old had so much fun I think you have inspired him to explore pottery in the future, we can’t wait to get our pieces in the mail!!!! The small gifts you gave us will be treasured for years to come. we can’t thank you enough!!!!
Our experience was unique and will stay as a great memory of our trip in Japan forever. Since we were only two people, the class became more of a private session, and Anna adapted her explanation to the level of knowledge of both me and my partner, as she already had some experience with pottery. She also did the workshop in spanish, making it more comfortable for all of us. I highly recommend this workshop not just because of the pottery itself, but also for the environment where the experience takes place (a traditional japanese house) and how Anna handles all the explanation and makes you feel comfortable. Thanks Anna for this experience and being a great instructor!
We had a wonderful experience Making our sushi plate and chopsticks holder With Anna and Ryo. They were very cordial and respectful of our beginner level of pottery. Would highly recommend this experienc!!
WOW, this was without doubt a highlight of our trip to Japan, so so so wonderful. Anna and Ryo are such a joy to be around and so easy to talk to. I learnt so much more thanI anticipated about Japan, pottery and Osaka. 10 out of 10. Cant wait to come back to make another piece of own personal history. I'm already planning my next trip to Japan in 2027 and will definitely be back for more pottery. DOMO ARIGATOU GOZAIMASHITE ! ps they recommended a GREAT okonomiyaki restaurant where I had the best steak of my life - I kid you not - a must do experience !!!!!
WOW what an experience! It was honestly such a highlight during my time in Osaka. Thankyou Anna for all your guidance in hand building. The instructions were really easy to follow, and I felt supported to give things a go. I loved learning more about ceramics in Japan, and being able to choose between a Chawan, Sake Set & Chopsticks set was really great. Photos were taken too so I have memories of the experience and process. Both Anna and Ryo were so warm and welcoming, and we had excellent conversations about pottery, Japan, Osaka, and many other things. I felt very blessed to receive a hand crafted gift from Anna as well! Highly recommend this experience, excellent value for money and I'm leaving Japan with wonderful memories and new skills! arigatōgozaimasu & gracias!
We got much more than we anticipated in this DIY workshop. The experience, the cultural background of the pottery, and Anna's expertise were great!
