This show is so much fun, visually stunning, and adorable! I've seen the "Hoi An Memories" show before, but that was a different experience because it took place in an open space. This "Roi Mo" show is in a closed space, so the lighting and sound feel much more intimate and realistic. The sound is very vivid, the visuals are interesting, and the artistry is top-notch due to the many techniques incorporated into the show. I really enjoyed it!
Such a fun experience. You cant take photos or video while the show is on going so something to keep in mind. You can take photos after the show. It was funny and very entertaining. There were some lines from the characters and didnt understand them as they were in the Vietnamese language but you'll understand the context. There was a coffee shop beside the theatre and inside they only sell popcorns. So dont go there hungry. The other shops might open soon though (it seems) so shouldnt be a problem anymore (probably) a month or two from now.
The show is vibrant, offering many new experiences by combining various forms of puppetry. The storyline is a slice of dreams, which might not satisfy audiences who prefer long, logical narratives. However, the musical effects, choreography, and stage production made my family feel very entertained. My children absolutely loved this show.
A very creative and memorable cultural performance. Life Puppets – Rối Mơ combines traditional Vietnamese puppetry and musical instruments with water, dance, lighting, mechanical systems and live projection. I was especially fascinated by the stationary bicycles used to control puppets and moving stage elements. In the central pool, a female swimmer moved so gracefully with a floating dragon puppet that she appeared to be dancing with it. Other highlights included glowing fibre-optic “jellyfish,” humorous bamboo-percussion performers and a giant gorilla puppet. Some underwater scenes were created inside an aquarium-like tank, filmed and projected live onto the large screen. It was like watching a miniature movie studio operating during the performance. The talented young performers displayed wonderful enthusiasm, teamwork and pride in their culture. They were not merely preserving tradition—they were giving it new life through creativity and technology. Highly recommended!
It was supposed to start at 6 PM, but it started at 6:15 PM. I was a little surprised they didn't keep to the start time. However, the quality of the content was excellent. The story about the twelve zodiac animals, with the harmony created by the visuals, sound, and performers, was so captivating that I couldn't help but applaud. An hour flew by. It was one of the most satisfying experiences I had in Nha Trang. If many of you are contemplating whether to go, I highly recommend it. The architecture is beautiful, and the surrounding walking paths are well-maintained. The facility was neither too cold nor too hot, with a comfortable temperature, making it excellent in terms of facilities as well. Above all, the actors' passionate performances were truly wonderful.
The theater is definitely worth a visit. The story presented might seem disjointed, but the visual performance is phenomenal. It's world-class. The use of light, water, and the artists' synchronized movements will be remembered for a long time.
A popular art venue in Nha Trang I've only had the chance to visit the outside of the theater, but the design is truly unique and impressive. I hope to buy tickets in time next time to enjoy and experience the theater's art forms. Currently, the surrounding areas are under construction, so the space around the theater will be even more modern and beautiful in the future.
interesting show, although it is difficult to call it a theater in the classic sense. at the entrance you will be offered popcorn, instead of a stage there will be a pool, and the actors are puppets on bamboo poles. but it is worth going there! immerses you in the local culture! pay attention to the system of bicycles on the balcony and how they control what is happening on the stage. the show lasts an hour. Afterwards you can walk around the new area, still under construction.
Good, full of art, imbued with traditional Vietnamese culture
Excellent show, very diverse. It was our first time at such a show, the plot was a little unclear, but it was very interesting. Talented artists, sometimes comedic performances, sometimes creepy masks. Overall, I highly recommend the show. From the center of Nha Trang, you can take bus 23 directly to the theater, but in the evening the bus doesn't go there anymore.
