I'm completely satisfied with this experience, a perfect 10! If it weren't for the discount coupon, I really wouldn't have had the chance to enjoy a buffet in such a high-end restaurant. Every single food item felt like it could be a very high-quality dish served on its own. The ingredients felt very fresh, and there was a sufficient variety of food choices. Especially the desserts, I was really satisfied with every single one! The most signature and highly anticipated cheesecake was really delicious. The ice cream also felt like it was made in-house by the hotel? It was very rich. The staff was also very friendly.
went to have afternoon tea this noon, ordered an iced coffee and it was unexpectedly good yet the cake was just ok. overall still a good experience plus the staffs were very friendly and helpful as well. Good trained. 👍🏾
For over twenty years since graduating from university, I have been a loyal supporter of Mandarin Oriental. Although the restaurant has undergone a slight renovation, it still maintains its classic and elegant style, with its original charm unchanged. The food quality continues to improve, with classic dishes consistently maintaining a high standard, and the signature Hainanese chicken rice being absolutely superb. The signature desserts, especially the chocolate series, are rich and outstanding. Mandarin Oriental's service has always been the best in Hong Kong, attentive and meticulous. During dinner this evening, I requested a table change because my seat was a bit chilly, and the manager promptly made excellent arrangements, demonstrating their dedication to hospitality. Thank you to the team for over twenty years of dedicated care. The taste, ambiance, and service have remained consistently excellent, and I will continue to be a long-term supporter. I'm a Fan of MO.
Service: Attentive and polite. Food Taste: There are four types of savory sandwiches, plus several desserts. All of them are not only picture-perfect but also taste great. The English scones with rose petal jam and clotted cream are a must-try. Restaurant Environment: Comfortable, with a window-side location that offers natural light, perfect for photos. Experience: Very satisfied, especially since their afternoon tea starts at 2:00 PM, allowing plenty of time. Price: Reasonable.
Grateful for the attentive hospitality of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel's restaurant manager and staff. This year, my husband and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary and chose the Mandarin Oriental Hotel's restaurant as the venue for our celebration. We had long anticipated the elegant atmosphere and exquisite dining here. However, the highlight of the evening was not just the food, but the dedicated service of the restaurant manager and staff. No more than six servers were serving nearly 100 guests. They did everything they could to help guests capture important moments by taking photos, assisting with orders, and clearing the messy dishes from the tables. I could really see that they were tired, but at the same time, I felt their warm smiles and their efforts to meet the various needs of the customers. Even though our table was piled high with used dishes, we could understand their hard work. I would especially like to thank the restaurant manager and staff for their professionalism and enthusiasm, which made this special celebration even more memorable. However, I also hope that the hotel management can take note of this and increase the number of restaurant staff as soon as possible to better serve guests. Ultimately, the evening was a delightful mix of joy, laughter, and a little chaos - perfectly capturing the essence of our family celebration. Wishing you more love and unforgettable moments in the future!
The service is still excellent, and I'm very satisfied. The buy-one-get-one-free offer is also great. Unfortunately, the food quality has declined. While there's a wide variety of seafood, it's not fresh, and the lobster is only refilled occasionally and in small quantities. When a customer inquired, a staff member immediately brought some out from the kitchen for that couple. The quality of the cooked food is also poor; everything is very dry, and the steamed fish is tough. The new fish ball, pig skin, and cart noodle stall, as well as the egg waffles, are not appealing. For desserts, there are fewer options than before, and the fruit is just a mixed platter. I'm disappointed, but I'm very grateful that all the managers proactively asked diners for their feedback and committed to improving the service, which is still excellent. The drinks include one complimentary beverage; an all-you-can-drink option requires an additional $100 or more. Many hotel buffets are indeed more affordable and offer better food quality and variety.
Restaurant Environment: Although not large, it's pleasantly quiet. Service: Very polite. Food Taste: The variety of food isn't extensive, but there's enough to eat, and the taste is good. It was a bit disappointing that there were no oysters today. There was a relatively larger selection of cooked dishes, and the desserts were delicious.
Braved the first typhoon signal #8 to come out for the buffet because it was a birthday celebration! As a result, there were very few people that day, so there was plenty of food and no need to fight or queue. The staff didn't slack off when clearing plates either. The food selection wasn't huge, but everything was delicious and to my taste. The cheesecake was definitely the best. Moreover, the restaurant had a great atmosphere, very romantic, and with the buy-one-get-one-free deal, it was a super value. The whole experience was comfortable and enjoyable. The typhoon signal finally changed to #3 almost when we got home, lol.
Family weekend brunch. very enjoyable experience. We are repeat visitors to this restaurant. Service was excellent. Usaully very good but this time was the best. Attentive and very efficient. Food was very good. In particular the hainan chicken, egg station and roast beef. Without a doubt the cheesecake is the star. Excellent spread of sea food, hot dishes, pastries, and desserts. The B2G2 offer makes this a very good value meal. Will no doubt be back again in the future.
The environment is beautiful and the atmosphere is great. There are many choices for seafood and desserts. There could be more hot dish options, but there is also a noodle stall, Hainanese chicken, and freshly cooked pasta, which are all very good. Unfortunately, there is no beverage bar. It feels like there are not enough staff to cope, and there are situations where there are no plates to get food, the food stalls have to wait for the chefs, and guests clear their own plates. It would be better to increase the manpower. But overall, it is a good value for money :)
